Day 49/60
A morning out feeding the pheasants on a friends shoot. Some cutting of bag ties and used the saw to cut a water canister in two to make an open drinker. My friend was sceptical but as usual the saw impressed and quickly proved it was more than up to the task.

I'm sorry to hear that buddy.  I keep hoping you get some relief out there.

Certainly was Barry. He and I used to do a bit of gamekeeping together on his fathers farm when we were teenagers. Bit older now but none the wiser

I'm starting to think, "Why would I carry any other SAK. These Swiss Champs are great."

Maybe Butch was right!  :ahhh

Perhaps.

But giving the SwissChamp a deep clean afterwards did remind me that the Huntsman isn't a slouch either (Cue Barry R to remind us that the Huntsman is the SAK everyone should have ...) and is less fiddly to clean.

Oh, the Huntsman is a dandy, too.  And, yes, the S'champ has more to clean. Still.....now being used to carrying it about in me pocket.....and enjoying the Universal Scaler so much..... Well, might be hard to go back to the Huntsman. I have a Handyman that I'm mighty fond of, too. The Handyman seems to be an under-appreciated SAK.

Definitely won't argue that point.  The Huntsman treated me well for many years.  Looking at it now, for an EDC, it's a tossup between the Huntsman and the Woodsman.  The Philips head is definitely handy to have these days

I'll second that on the Handyman buddy.  Definitely underappreciated.

To all those who rate the scaler as a tool they never use, just look through this thread - it really is universal!  :tu:
