Thank you. It was murder resisting a seal joke
That is the type I was referring to Still not a big fan today either so I am a little fan
They look like a great way to hurt yourself whilst trying to impress your friends.
A little fan? So, can we say you're just a fanny?...
I clicked on to this thread because I had never heard the term,"front flipper".My only response is:"WHY?" It seems awkward at best and a bit dangerous at the worst.I'll stick with normal opening knives.
Buck made a few new knives this year. I like the Langford and the Decatur. Both are side (back ) flippers
A little tiny fanny
I looked at one recently, I think it was the Boker Wasabi? But, anyhow, it was marked as UK legal as it has a non-locking blade length that complies with UK law. I was not sure, however, whether the UK Police would share the view on legality as they are certainly not keen on one haded opening blades.
You stud...
The good thing about some of the front flipper knives is that you can use both hands to open them. They have no noticeable OHO method, so you can deploy them two handedly and avoid that "OMG, that's an automatic knife!" reaction.I have lots of non OHO knifes that I can open with just one hand (from a Buck 110 to a SAK Classic). Doesn't mean the average user can do it or that the knives are considered OHO.
Front flipper knives are not what I thought they were. I thought they were just flipper knives but now I see they are different. I've learned something new, mostly about the incompleteness of my collection, again. While not something I think I would like for the most part, I did find myself looking at the CRKT Dually thinking it looked interesting but it is a little small. The front flipper is also a bottle opener.
