I did a search for this topic and didn't want to resurrect a a long dead one  :dunno:

Whilst wandering around a Terminal 4 today. It's the Red List Terminal, so arrivals only and departures is dead.

Looking out across an empty runway I glanced up and saw a couple of saucer shaped craft*....or did I :pok:

In SurgeUKs defence, I lived in Surbiton (near Heathrow,  and very much under one of the stacking areas for inbound flights)for many years. On more than one occasion I was fortunate to observe unexplained aerial phenomena. On ever occasion  they were at night, and failed to follow the expected patterns of airliners, or military,police or civilian  helicopters.

The 'nocturnal lights' that I saw on 4 or 5 occasions on clear nights I subsequently was able to identify as Starlink satellites. The thing I saw twice on cloud filled stormy nights I still have no explanation for...I do rather link the thought that it may have been ball lightning ( or maybe swamp gas reflected off Venus through a temperature inversion as that nice Man in Black suggested.)

Another odd thing that happened a few years ago at Heathrow.  I was flying over to Belfast. Our fly sat forever in the taxi way cue...not odd in itself, but nothing was taking off or landing. Then a AH64 Longbow Apache flew over. Why was it given priority to fly straight through Heathrow's airspace,  and cause such delays?
There is no beginning,or ending,and for this we are thankful,cos now is hard enough to understand!

Well, I went back today and saw the preparations for the invasion fleet. The end is nigh... :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

Alternatively, it's the lights  ::) Because of the glazing each light is reflected twice  ;)
