I'm fact, multiple Smurfs!

Megan gave me a late Christmas present today, and I figured you guys would appreciate them as much as I do!

I had a couple when I was a kid as well.  Honestly can't remember which ones though.

I'm pretty sure I had the Smurfette one, but I don't think I had any of the other two.

My brother and I used to play a game called Smurf Wars when we were kids, especially when camping.  Basically we would each build a fort out of whatever we could find, including tunnels and stuff, put a Smurf in there, and take turns chucking good sized rocks at eachother's fortress until the Smurf was knocked over.

My nephews think it's hilarious that their dad and I ised to amuse ourselves by throwing rocks at each other....

I had a bunch from Kinder Surprise when I was a kid. I think they've been replaced by Minions now.

I never had any of those Smurfs as a kid. Though I don't need to start collecting anything else, I :like: the Smurfs.

I had several Smurf albums growing up, that one included.

I never had any of those Smurfs as a kid. Though I don't need to start collecting anything else, I :like: the Smurfs.

They were a lot of fun, and I had quite a few when I was a kid.  And, I never missed the cartoon!

Nice! I have seen them in the Schleich catalogs ever since I started seeing Schleich when Tractor Supply opened 15 years ago, but I've never actually seen them in a store. Same goes for the Peanuts characters.

I watched the original series as a kid, and I have to admit, the new series on Nickelodeon isn't bad. Arguably one of their better series in recent years.

I didn't even know there was a new series.    I think I watched the first (new) movie, but I don't think I've watched any of it since.

Random but somewhat related: one of the guys in my boot camp division was nicknamed Gargamel.

Was he always blaming his failures on his cat?  :D

No. He was thought to bear at least a passing resemblance to Gargamel.

I think I'd probably shave my head entirely, grow a beard and wear glasses, whether I needed them or not, just to not be compared to Gargamel!

Any cartoon character is probably bad to be compared to, but that one really doesn't favor someone, no matter how you slice it!   :ahhh

One of the laborers for one of the construction companies at work is called Conky because he bears a striking resemblance to the puppet on the Trailer Park Boys.  If you aren't familiar with that, it's probably not a good idea to Google that, especially if there is family around.  Trust me, it is not flattering either!

Given that we use the word "Smurf" as a censor, the term "Handy Smurf" takes on new meaning!
