I'm afraid this could turn into a political thread. I just wanted to show my respect for the russian civilians that demonstrate against the war. So far, about 1400 have been arrested for that.

Remember, it's not the russian people causing this. It's always about the leaders, never about the people.

  Obviously I am against bullies, no matter what nation they hail from. And violence always leads to more violence, and revenge. Why not discuss it out, or duke it out? Saves all the lives and needless damage that war causes.

  One sides wants control, or to dominate (for whatever reason) and escalates things when they do not get their way.. For that, those perpetrators ought to be locked up until they calm the smurf down, or be euthanized --- save everyone from WW3.

  Personally I do not think this will all stop at Ukraine. There is more going on than just that strategic area. IMHO the perpetrators want access to the Black Sea.



  Oh, and the LDS communities have been organizing fasting prayers for the situation to end. Can only hope.

Whilst I don't disagree with you I think your post might stray past Ukranian support and more into the politics that naturally surround the situation.

I think it's less about avoiding offending kittens, and more about avoiding descending into arguments that result in name-calling and general loss of the goodwill that exists on this forum.

I also suspect that generally the people on both sides did not want this war - as with most wars, it is instigated by a few at the top.
