We ran a Buck 112 Ranger challenge a while back and it was great fun.  Time to run it again!   :woohoo:

The 112 is the little Buck with the big feel. Some say the best Buck ever, but you have to decide that for yourself. And the best way to do that?   :think:

A 30-day 112 challenge!   :woohoo:

Queensberry rules apply:

1. Carry and use a Buck 112 every day from September 01 through the 30th.
2. Post a photo of your 112 in this thread each of those days. If you can't post a photo because you are lost in the woods, post said photo up when you are rescued. And tell the story.
3. Use any model 112 made by Buck.
4. Use as many 112's as you like. Rotate 'em awl in or use just one for the duration.
5. If you use another tool because the 112 couldn't cut it, 'fess up and let know how the 112 wasn't up to the task.
6. Do NOT stab any sailors during this challenge. The 112 wasn't designed for that.
7. There is a badge for this challenge. Complete the challenge and earn the badge!
8. Have fun. If you can't have fun with a 112, you can't have fun. So have fun.
Merit Badges Start a new thread and post a photo of an Executive or Director for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the pen for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participants shall carry and use one Soldier knife, the model of their choosing, for the duration of the 90 days and post a picture each day. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Delemont SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a challenge thread and post a photo of a SAK Cybertool (any variant), Swisschamp, Champion or Toolchest for sixty (60) consecutive days. Participate in a challenge by carrying  a GEC knife and post a photo of it  for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo daily of any SAK 74mm or smaller ( you can switch it up daily ) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Build your own version of an MRE using off-the-shelf components, post a photo of the completed MRE and store at room temperature for 6 days or more. Consume the MRE after the storage period and post pictures and descriptions of the contents. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Farmer X SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Using EDC items randomly selected with a poker hand, post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for 4 weeks (or 30 consecutive days) Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a Leatherman Skeletool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate and contribute in Challenge thread and post a photo of either an Axe, MT/Folding knife or Fixed blade (picked at the beginning of challenge) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a Spyderco knife for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate and contribute in Challenge thread and post a photo of a different blade each day for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a SAK Soldier for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Fieldmaster SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. I'm in.

I plan to send my '74-80 off later this week, and there is no reason that by then, I should be getting a decent user back from Buck (and coincidentally, with the 50th tang stamp--when the knife itself is almost that old!). May end up buying an early Bucklite version as well.

Added Challenge to my appointment calendar just in case interruptions disrupt my summer and web visits.  😜
