Peoples, tell us how the Mini Champ has not worked for you - if at all.

In terms of righteous daily living, the Mini Champ has done everything I have needed so far this month.

Day 26
I found out about these Pocket Survival Tools this month.  I may start carrying it starting Dec. 1st.  Just not sure if I need pliers, seems I've done well so far without needing them.  :dunno:

Great pic FB! :like: :tu: :tu:

What other tools/toys have you needed? Over the course of this Grand Championship Glorious Challenge, I do not recall having really needed anything other than the Mini Champ.  That has not stopped me from carrying other items like an Explorer Plus, Swisstool Spirit and Opinel.  For me, the Mini Champ would fall short - if at all - if I needed to really get some torque on a phillips or flat screw.  But that hasn't happened so far.

In terms of righteous daily living, the Mini Champ has done everything I have needed so far this month.

That is the reason why a MiniChamp is always in my pocket. Now, I might also have a larger SAK or my large stockman, but the first one I reach for is my MiniChamp.

It's finally getting colder around here.
Today, it's not supposed to get up past the upper-mid 40's.   Came out to grab a quick glamour shot and head back inside.

Too cold for my old bones and a couple of replacement parts too
Should be warmer the rest of the week.

Hi Glen,
I thought your Mini had an EU symbol on it.  It looks like the US Dept of the Air Force?  Is that what it is?  Best wishes.  G

What other tools/toys have you needed?

Prior to this challenge I wouldn't have considered the Mini Champ as my only EDC knife.  I must say, I've been really impressed with everything I've been able to accomplish with it.  Only once have I needed to use a big screwdriver and I was at home so I would've reached for it regardless.  No failures to report though.

It will definitely be part of my EDC moving forward even if I carry another SAK with me.  I've become so enamored with it that I'm looking for a case that I can attach to my keys to carry it so I won't mar it any further.  I'd like to do a scale swap but I'm unaware of any translucent green scales that would work on the Mini Champ and not lose the pen.
May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

Day 27
MiniChamp with some reading.  Two knots everyone should know.  Easy to learn.  Got to practice a little.  Get out a piece of cord and do it today.
The old Scout's manual says to tie a bowline around yourself.  Well you can, but it is good for any time you need a loop that won't tighten up when you put pressure on it.  No slip in this knot.  Good for lots of things.  Mini has one at the end of its tether.  That's how it gets tied to a belt loop.
Two half hitches.  Simple.  Quick.  I don't tie it exactly like they show.  I would tie it to a post by passing the line around the post, then wrapping the line around one more time.  Then tie the half hitches.  "A round turn and two half hitches won't let you down when you need them."
That's the knot on the other end of Mini's little leash.  No room for the extra turn part.  It would be better.  Best wishes.  Gary

The old Scout's manual says to tie a bowline around yourself.

In the old manila rope days of the academy, we had to learn to tie a bowline around ourselves one-handed.   :o   I still use bowlines for a lot of things, even though we eventually moved to the figure 8 instead.

I fell down the knotting rabbit hole many years ago. We were on a vacation on the Outer Banks and I saw a knot board for sale.  Price was something like $50.00.  told the Boss Lady that I could do that.  Took a picture and did it myself, but not after spending a lot on knotting books.

Considerably warmer than yesterday.  I'm able to sit out front, enjoy a quiet smoke and do some paracord work.
