That's a great idea for a paracord buddy.  I think I'm going to try and make one for my son's Tinker.

Day 20

Classic SD had KP duty today.   :D  My better half... was not as amused with the results as I was.  :-\  Until I told her it was to make us both breakfast.  Yes, it's cut up french fries.  Diced in some onion, tomatoes, garlic, and scrambled in some eggs.  It's not a bad way to use up left over french fries from the night before.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

DAY 21

Bijou is still exasperated, and in succeeding with sentiment, the classic SD moved to anacreontic sentiments, with cheese help to pacify.

Your little Bijou has to be treated with love and kindness.  She doesn't appreciate getting all bent out of shape doing drywall work, or climbing on a roof to pull tacks.
Sounds like you either misplaced the little cutie or broke something.  'Fess up.  Breaking something is part of the challenge.  Limit testing and all that.  If your daughter was playing with it and accidentally dropped it in the flusher, then just say it.  The idea that Bijou ran off with an Executive or something is just balderdash.
At least the Classic SD is still in the Victorinox catalog.  Even if the choices between 91mm and 58mm are fewer.  Might as well post a photo and be done.  Before the internet goes out again.  Best wishes.  G

surprisingly no uses for the classic yesterday. got back really late last night from our trip. My very kind friends gifted me this wonderful and extensive collection of Chinese paintings to inspire my landscape watercolor painting. I'm going to have fun going through this collection  :ahhh

She is having a mid life crisis, raving it up, drinking lime cocktails and overall having a good time

Yes, I can see how she has gotten a little tipsy.  Had a lie-down.  Put a damp cloth on her dear little head.  I expect she will mope along home when the money runs out.  Then you can say, "Well look what the cat dragged in."  I actually think that is an annoying comment, but it is traditional.  Best wishes.  G

Day 21

My oldest today - buffalo horn scales, exposed rivets, Victoria tang stamp. Still the original toothpick and tweezers.

I was bit dissapointed with the scales when I got it. I have one other knife with horn scales - Spartan, The scales on the Spartan are fantastic - shiny and deep! The scales on this classic were rather dull, and when closely inspected you could see tiny, tiny cracks - probably dried out over time.
I found out that recommended treatment is to apply jojoba oil on a regular basis. So I treat it with jojoba oil on a weekly basis and it got better - the micro cracks seem to disappear. It does not have yet the deepnes of the horn scales of the Spartan, but getting better over time.

More opening duties.  Classic is happy that we are organically staying clear of glyphosate.
MTSAK - I like the paracord friend.  Very nice!

That's a great idea for a paracord buddy.  I think I'm going to try and make one for my son's Tinker.

It was super easy and only took a few minutes even though it was the first one I've ever made. I used the awl on my Tinker+ to carve out the hole in the Lego head and hat. There are tons of videos on YouTube and a bunch of different ways to make a head without using a Lego Minifigure head.

I thought Classic had gotten over things from a couple of days ago.  I guess not.

Day 21

Tightened up a knob on a bathroom drawer. Easier with a larger tool, but the Classic did the job. Didn't realize how bad the picture was until I went to upload it.

Don't worry about it.  The photo is still better than most of mine.  I imagine you have some snow on the ground for the kids to play in.  Nothing but cold here.  I walked down my long driveway to see if the high winds had knocked anything down.  All clear this time.  One more cold night, then a warm-up.  Best wishes.  G

Day 21

Package opening duties today.  Used the scissors to open up a package of stuffed animals for the nephew.  I'm not keen on how they come vacuum packed now-a-days.  I feel like it might distort the stuffed animal.  If fluffed up ok but still.  The we cut a package of bits and bobs open so that I could put the little fire pit together.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

DAY 22

Well the cocktails have run out, and the most recent storm had blown the electricity, so the rave is over.....the little Bijou, has come back and resumed a more sedate life, starting with feeding the guinea pigs (cookie and donut)

Bijou does the usual fingernail maintenance routine every morning.  The white Bijou is one of the models that has the pointy nail cleaner tip.  Not the small screwdriver.  It might be the only 58mm that I have outfitted that way.  Very handy.
Watched the fights a while.  White Bijou doing a tool display.  Best wishes.  G

Day 21:
Got busy with a feverish kid last night before bed and another who would not go to sleep and didn't get a chance to post this. My other SMKW Trash Panda watched my Deluxe Tinker get a new change of clothes from BarnesCraft Designs yesterday afternoon. I've had these scales for a month or so but couldn't decide what to put them on. I think they look amazing. I've always loved the look of burlap micarta.
