Day 18

When I was a kid, my dad would use the scissors on his classic to cut the end of my straw at McDonalds to make a "french fry holder." As an adult, I'm pretty sure it was to stop me from knocking it over/poking my eye out. About once a year my wife and I wind up somewhere with awkwardly long straws and I think of dad while I give them a trim.

One of the main things I use my Classic's scissors for is cutting straws down shorter for my kids. They are always so long that they can't get a drink while sitting at restaurant tables.

Day 18

Feeding time!!  Had to give the lagomorph its sustenance.  Then the canine was clamoring for his.  Finally, I got to open up my vitamins which was the first thing I was going to do until the beasts reminded me that I neglected their daily rations.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

Classic came along for a little walk.  I wish the blue color looked like this in real life.  Much darker in reality.  Might need a critter photo too.  I left some beans in a styrofoam bowl for the vermin last night.

Rackie took his wife Rackeena out for a late dinner.  As usual they quarreled about the seating a little.  Then complained about the service and portion size.  I don't know if they went dancing afterward, or not.  That would lie in the realm of fantasy, and we deal in facts here.  Best wishes. Day 19

Double carry today. I picked the Swiss lite in the morning and later found the StayGlo in a jacket. So at least they have some company. Although they remain quiet.

Day 19
Classic was getting rowdy due to minimal use the last 2 days.  Today he got to cut into a homemade blueberry muffin.  Seems happier now.
I do like those roadster scales
Gra - keep using those big words like lagomorph so I can increase my vocabulary

I think friend Aztec has the lagomorph concession.  They have those things down in Texas, but maybe not in England.  I will confess to one bout of ignorance on my part.  For some reason I thought the Leatherman Micra that Gra wants to carry for a month was the Leatherman Mini.  That doesn't make any difference to me, since I don't have either one.  Hope you are feeling better, Jeff.  That blueberry muffin looks so good.  Best wishes.  G

I had to look up the definition of Lagomorph. Learned something new today. Always thought it would be cool to have one as a pet.

That Blueberry muffin looks good enough that your tongue might beat your brains out if you were to put it on top of your head!

I wouldn't having what glennfiddich was having for dinner and that muffin that Jeff was having for desert.

Everyone that comes to our house gets a kick out of the lagomorph especially since she's free roaming and loves pets.

Day 19

Box opening duties again.

Bijou with noodle opening duty.  I was happy to see that friend Aztec's lagomorph had shed its antlers.  Perhaps it is a doe?  I kept rabbits for a while years ago.  I found out one thing quickly.  They never stop eating.
Plenty cold outside last night.  I hope the varmints wore their fur coats if they had to be out in it.  Internet was either not working here yesterday or very limited.  Seems to be working fairly well today.  Best wishes.  Gary

DAY 20

The Bijou, had a s**t fit last night and stormed off, the classic SD (not a mind reader), was dumfounded and perturbed.... particularly after a difficult day...so the classic SD decided to sit down and open the satsumas... feeling rather discomposed and despondent

The advertising on SAKs simply works! I am sure that the memory of Fireman’s Manner Classic he posted previously led me unconsciously and unavoidably to the appropriate isle in the supermarket to pick the wafers I do not buy usually!

The power of SAKs!

Life continues, I am getting better,  but, now wife has the crud.  Went to the freezer and got some homemade oat and banana waffles which would not come out of the zip-lock package while frozen together.  Classic let me know he could handle what needed to be done.  Zip-lock closure removed with scissor style.

DAY 20

Today I went with my only yellow SAK, the Kampgrounds of America (KOA) Classic SD.

Has the KOA logo on the front, and the tagline on the back.

I opened whatever this stuff is (iced coffee). Got it in a gift basket someone gave my folks for Christmas (if not the one before). I ended up making it more or less like hot chocolate since the sole blender we've got is huge. Can't say I'm a fan, and my grandmother doesn't like it either (too sweet).

I also used the scissors (of my current Classic SDs, the newest brass-rivet scissors cut best it seems) to make a more practical lanyard. That monstrosity the previous owner added to the purple one is too long and thick for such a tiny knife, so it often gets in the way. Thus, I  used my design--a short length of paracord with an overhand knot.

My sole problem with the Classic (and most 58mm in general) is that the lanyard ring is in-line with the blade--thus, I'll find myself using the scissors for general cutting than the blade.

Picked up this "Bigfoot" keyring and used the Classic to get it off the card. Debating adding a OPT or two to my carry with it...
