DAY 5  My wife bought me this ferro rod, with a compass in cover.   It's heavy, but will probably start several thousand fires.

I use dial calipers alot more than mics, I run a cnc mill.  I have accumulated a fair amount of mics over the years.

Dropping in for a cameo. I had to relight the pilot on the furnace for the first time today. Didn't get a picture at the time, but here's the lighter.

Big fan of the Roxon Flash. They should sell the whistle and ferro rod combo on its own.

Day 5
Unfortunate day, storage unit got broken into several thousand dollars worth of stuff got stolen. Surprisingly they didn't take any of my backpacking gear.

This is a little backpacking stove, extremely small. Not the lightest one out there but not half bad.

Day 6 obviously not in my pocket. Haha but for sparking up a torch to loosen some bolts today. Honestly makes me wonder why you don't see these in kits home kits, they spark super easy.

Day 6

Been a pretty long day, and finally got home with little guy from a short trip.  The lighter came in handy for lighting up a surprise bday cake for another parent.

:iagree: mine at home just collects dust. I should use it for this challenge.  I do light a Bunsen burner every once in the while in the lab.

Someone was digging in town and cut a line and we haven't had internet of phone service since yesterday afternoon. So I'm playing catch up again.

Day 5:
Carried my only Zippo. I mainly pack it during hunting season but dug it out yesterday and filled it up. Man, I love the smell of Zippo fuel
