You know with all the stuff I carry I thought I had all the bases covered right? I mean I always have a folder, a multi, two pocket lights, a lighter and some other goodies. But lastnight I got stranded after work because of the snow and got put up in a hotel for the night. It was after midnight and I was hungry so I walked accross the street to walmart to get a tv dinner to eat in the hotel room. I got back microwaved it then realized I had nothing to eat it with. Looks like I have to go through the spork thread to get some ideas.

MINI sporks? Now that's exciting :D

Where did you get those from GG? That's exactly what I need to throw in my mini car kit.

Nice mod John.

I don't think the blades are that bad. I think I might as well leave them on there tbh.

Dave IIRC mine was faulty from the off the middle pin didn't sit right pushing out one side and the blade had more play than a roulette machine  ;)

Lol. I don't think it would take much to make this one go the same way - but it's OK for now at least!

That's a nice set-up Dave, you've got me thinking about getting some kind of organiser as well.

I am really liking the Maxpedition EDC Organiser

Even at £20 it just seems to be fit for purpose. I saw a Highlander Notebook Holder in an Army Surplus store but it was priced at £15, I was close to getting it but for a fiver more I could the Maxpedition version  :D The Highlander was nice with plenty of space and loops inside but it was DPM camouflage on the outside! Mine will spend a lot of time in and out of laptop bag rather than the field.

Our US friends are spoilt for choice with these organisers  :P

Got a birthday coming up in February so time to drop some hints to Mrs. cerbera  :gimme:

The Maxped one is slightly larger than the other similar items like the Spec Ops one, but it does have more options for what to fit it by virtue of its loop and pocket set up. I really like mine  :tu:

my edc maxped organizer arrived yesterday.  I got mine in OD green.    Like Nuphoria said, it's a bit bigger than other "pocket" organizers, but I plan on using mine to keep gear that I want to transfer from whatever vehicle I'm using that day.

I'll try and get some pics up. :)

Here's the pic!

Just quickly loaded it up with some items, I'm sure I'll play around with the location and add and subtract some things.  These are mostly back-up or supplemental items to my EDC.  This organizer is something that I'll just toss in whatever vehicle I'm using that day or if I'm  riding with someone, I'll bring it along.

Contents:

Zebra Expanding Pen
Zebra F301 Pen
Sharpie
Bark River PSK with Ghost Green Jade handles with black liners
Leatherman Kick
4Sevens Quark 123
Benchmade 1100-2 Tactical Pen
Ipod
Notebook
Fox40 Whistle
Emergency Cash

Great pic, thanks Viking  :tu:

Nice selection inside too  :D

Is there anything on the back of the pack? I've seen the front with a velcro patch for a badge and a slip pocket but does the rear have anything exciting happening?

Would an iPod video fit within the straps?

They have molle straps on the back for attachment and usually a small handle too which a lot of folks seem to remove.

Excuse my ignorance  :-[ but are the molle straps for attaching to other molle products like Maxpedition bags?

Here's a pic of the back.

A Ipod would fit in the straps on the back(if that's what you were asking).

Thanks for this pic Viking

Do you think an iPod would within the inside straps as well?

I would have one of those pocket organisers right now myself if Heinnie haynes hadn't screwed up and sent me a belt pouch instead   :ahhh  >:(

I love the look of those Ghost Jade scales BTW.
