Day 29

A Minute Maid juice bottle seal was unusually stubborn this morning.  And, I was thirsty😜

PST handled the task.

Just two mentions today, as I need to get my ass down to the Post Office...

@mvp: my Google-Fu leads me to believe the UPS is sort of like an external hard drive. Am I correct?

@kaevin: I hope you find a new job posthaste!

Hope my fellow challengers in the States had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Day 28 (catching up)

No Thanksgiving turkey for me...the liquor store nearest my house didn't have any Wild Turkey. I guess Maker's Mark will work as well.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Day 29

I looked around my house (which is pretty much a large storage unit) for something I could use in testing out the file. This peg from a long-ago-broken coat tree was selected. The file worked superbly. It even cleaned up well with a toothbrush, which stood in for a proper file card. :tu:

...

No, it's a uninterruptible power supply (UPS). It's exactly this one: https://www.apc.com/nl/en/product/SMC1500I/apc-smartups-c-line-interactive-1500va-tower-230v-8x-iec-c13-outlets-usb-and-serial-communication-avr-graphic-lcd/
It's a little old, but I have 4 and they all still work perfectly if you change their batteries at every 2-3 years.
And I actually use 2 of them for 3 Synology NAS that I have. They are a kind of external hard drive over the network.

Day 30

Whew!   I did not think I could complete the
30 days, with my trip scheduled mid month,  yet the PST traveled like a champ.   And, even posed for some nice photos south of the border. 🤩😉

My three handiest PST, so most utilized.
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The SS, is one of my first, a eBay purchased, lightly used but name etched onto the handles that I have removed.
Still full functional and looks pretty and well traveled.

The BO, is my most used around the homestead!  Also, my favorite.  Or, most shared on MTo!

The early PST II!  Its combo blade and diamond file is utilized for special uses.  The scissors are ry b though I am not much of a scissors guy, except when fishing or prepping to go fishing.

I came to the PST party very late, actually not till I bought a BOND, the I just had to see what started this party.
Seven PSTs later, including a Japan model and a OG ST, do I fully understand the LM effect. And thin wallet anomaly!

Good job everyone who were able to complete.

And thank you Vicman for being the primary cheerleader this month. 👍
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

DAY 30

DAY 30

It is hard to believe it has been 30 days already.

Here is one more picture of the original Personal Survival Tool that I bought new
in 1984 and carried for 12 years before retiring it,

The sheath shows the wear of 12 years. The tool itself is still in great condition.

My Final thoughts on the PST are that it is a very capable tool for EDC and the size of it
makes it very easy to carry. :)

After 41 years the PST is still a great choice for EDC!

I want to thank Steve for hosting The Legendary PST Challenge. I have thoroughly
enjoyed all the posts. :)

Congratulations to everyone for finishing the Challenge and earning a badge.

Day 30: Great pics and job Gordon, Vicman and everyone!  Thank you for hosting another great challenge Steve!  Like I've said before, 30 days of PST use makes me wonder why I ever moved on.  I hope everyone comes back next year for another month of PST goodness!

Day 30

I enjoyed this challenge thank you everyone!

Thoughts on PST:
Although I’ve been spoiled by other Leathermen that are easy to access when the tool is closed as in the Leap, ARC, Wave etc., I did enjoy using the PST this month.
It mainly served as package and letter opener.
If it were the only tool I could use in a whole year, I wouldn’t mind.  I won’t since I love to use a variety of tools, but I wouldn’t feel slighted if this were all I had.  :tu:
