Here is some cool information about Early Winter's first Leatherman PST order.🙂

"In 1983 Early Winters had ordered the Leatherman for their catalog

"Three days after its catalog was out, Early Winters had sold 250
of Leatherman's tools and asked for more. Two weeks later, they
came back with a request for another 1,000. The new company now
faced a problem: it did not have the capacity to keep up with the
orders that kept pouring in. By June 1984, Leatherman had shipped
4,000, but was about three months behind on deliveries. By
Christmas 1984, close to 30,000 knives had been shipped. All
knives came with a 25-year, no-questions-asked warranty."

Day 26

My travel day, the SS PST was tucked into the suitcase for checked luggage and unavailable until arrival home which was late and I was so tired.

So my late entry is this, my BO posing on my reference book.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Shortly will open my travel bag and unpack and start laundry of awl clothing transported south.

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 27

First day home, enjoying coffee, awaiting mail delivery and THINKING about starting laundry, and visiting store to restock.

Checked in with my kids that I was back.
And, used my BO PST to pop open a bottle of Mexican  Mandarin soda, before unpacking.

Sorry to hear you missed the Challenge, Craig_S!
Thanks. I'll be super excited to catch the next one. I was injured in a house fire at the end of September, and although I didn't miss any time at work, I have been working extra hard to make some extra cash while I wasn't able to move around so much. I have a second job that allows me to supplement my income and suddenly realized it worked better if I actually put some effort in.

I think I see a Bond in my immediate future...

Day 27

I ran out of Meijer French roast, so I used the JPST's pliers to peel away the seal on its replacement.

Hopefully it will be okay. If not, good thing I bought a small can.

That was the ad we ordered my Dad's PST from Vicman.  Like we've discussed before, it was an incredible tool in its day and still no slouch.  I'd have no problem edc'ing one now.

Traveling to visit family for the holidays. Which is always nice as we don't have to cook.  :woohoo:

I guess you mean the picture from day 26. It's a UPS, APC C1500, I have a total of 4 in the house for different electronic devices and another one from nJoy, I don't remember the model for that one.

Day 28

My travel  PST was located and removed from travel pouch inside the suit case. Then put to use, returning my house key to the car key ring.  As it was on an alternative ring attached inside my backpack while traveling.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The early history of the PST amazes me. When it was introduced my family was at the peak of expenses supporting teen ages and awl their activities.  I could have not afforded such a tool in late 80s, until early 2000s,  4 in high school, then college. Looking back I have no idea how we accomplished it and not borrowed funds.

I tool addiction just waited until later. 😉
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!
