DAY 21

My mum's multi tool knife blade has no edge, they didn't even try to put an edge on it, and not really surprised, it's a cheap and cheerful tool...over the last three days I have spent a little bit of time here and there to get an edge on it....it now cuts

As much as I like the idea of lights in tools, I’m always disappointed because they aren’t usuallt that useful in real use.

This store has an apartment complex about a quarter mile away, and a bus top at far end of parking lot.
I suspect, those carts receive some abuse, curb jumping, and other uses not intended.

A store close by, near my home, has a few hotels within walking distance, and suspect, mutual patrons take liberty borrowing a cart to transport groceries from store to lodging facilities.  Some truckers park big rigs in nearby large open lots for layovers.
A Kroger near me had to add cart locking device after the opening of an apartment complex across the street led to many “borrowed” carts never being returned.

Some of you people might benefit from the joy of grocery delivery.  We pay $60/year to Kroger and get "free" delivery with no tipping.  Its glorious.  Sometimes its still best to visit the store to pick your own produce, etc., but its nice just to get online and have Kroger show up the next day. #lazy #I'mworthit

 :woohoo:

Nice pair

Thank you.   :hatsoff:

Mr. Barry was kind enough to give me that knife.  In exchange for money.

Day 24

Feeling better just in time to go back to work tomorrow.

Got this new clock for the bedroom about a month ago. I like it, but I guess needed to double the size of the numbers on my clock is probably a sign I'm getting old.

Getting old!  Believe me, if you needed the larger characters you  are already past the point of thinking, the train has left the station.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

... or a pile of hog hockey.
I need to use this phrase in conversation at work.

If you care to, message me your address and I will have my friends at Amazon send you 1,000 paper clips.  That should keep you busy for a while.

I'm serious.   :tu:

I'm probably going to need a clock like that because squinting ain't helping and I can only bring the clock so close to my face with or without glasses.

Day 25

A search turned up my MacGyver paperclip still held to my Papermate pen with duct tape.  I decided to sacrifice it to the Friday challenge.  I wonder if I can bend it back into its original shape after I finish.....  probably not.  I have a really good stapler or two in case a mini-challenge ever comes up that require one.
My compooter is acting wonky this morning.  Tried to apply for a badge for someone and don't know if I got it done.  Or maybe DID get it done about 7 times.
Global warming has set in here and it is getting cooler every morning.  August here is usually hot and dry.  Most years I don't have to mow in August over once or maybe twice.  How about a photo of a Swiss+Tech?
Best wishes.  G

We've got quite a few paper clips around here.  I used to keep one attached to the key rings on my SAKs, and we're still paper and pen(cil) users too.

Day 25: Vanity pic with a notepad and mechanical pencil.

Hey Barry, do you remember the non-mechanical plastic pencil?  Looked like a stick type pen.  I had a green one.  You could take off the eraser and pull the dull piece of lead in its little plastic sabot out the front of the device and insert it in the eraser end.  That would push down a fresh writing piece in its own little sabot.  The whole device held maybe a dozen or more individual points.  Always had a sharp lead to use.  Never had to sharpen.  I forget what they were called.  Best wishes.  G

PS.  I just looked on Amazon and somebody must have resurrected the idea and something similar is still available.  G

Day 25

Early morning, easier to jump out of bed with cooler air blowing in the back window.  Coffee and a load of laundry, boiled eggs for my protein this week.

And wow, it was only 7:30.

The rest of the morning slowed down to a crawl!

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Now getting cleaned up for afternoon stops, and used the little knife blade to open a few envelopes from Saturday, no checks😯.

Plans will include drive across county for dinner with daughters family..  late invite due to unusual work schedules.   Free dinner😜
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!
