I think summer weather has arrived, expecting thunderstorms tonight, but 65 F this morning and not a cloud in sight right now.

Decided time to connect hoses to the house, this  pliers helps nicely.

Summer style thunderstorm on approach.

Last night north of me Western Michigan was slammed.

Skies are yellow.  Lots of dust in the air.

But, this day was gorgeous!

Grass is green, do I hope your weather is calm and warm in Central PA.

It is!  The storms that we were supposed to get went south of us.  It's a beautiful evening right now.

Day 16

While western Michigan got some pretty wicked weather last night and early this morning, the Detroit area came through relatively unscathed. But boy howdy, was today a warm one!

The little green pouch was a gift from Sos24, and it's wearing a zipper pull that was a gift from the badly missed Aloha. :hatsoff: to both! The pouch would see a lot more use if the tops of those small compartments were elasticized.

Day 16

My "at home" water bottle is green. I'm not huge on bottles with straws, but it's nice when I wake up thirsty at 3AM.

Day 15 - Ketchup

Open up a bag of udon noodle to make stir fry for the wife and I.  I'm getting better at making it now.  Maybe I can convince the wife that I need a new cast iron wok.

Day 17  :hatsoff:

This morning finishing breakfast, I realized my AM pill box is green, then my tape measure is a bright color of green, and then my MTo patch is a dark dark green.

I love cast iron pans, but you want carbon steel for a wok. You need thin and light so it'll heat up quick, and be easier to move around. It cooks closer to cast iron than stainless, so you'll already have a half a feel for it.

I will concur!    :tu:

I bought one, a large one off an infomercial many years ago for my wife so she could make her Mexican Rice  meal.  The salsa and added tomato’s would ruin her seasoning of the large cast iron.   The rice was cooked in the salsa and tomatoes before anything added (chicken, beef, pork). Then topped with lots of cheese. One pan dish that never had left overs with our household, even with unplanned guests..

Made the best stir fry, and fried rice as well.

My daughter still uses it, it seasoned so effortlessly, anything she prepares in it just slides around and can be moved up the sides.   Actually it was one pan the kids awl asked about after my dear wife past away.
A Rock Paper Scissors event decided the recipient!

Best $19.99 plus modest s/h I ever spent. 😜

Day 18

Something with a bit of a story attached today

Camper 1992 - 2005 Vssr, no hook, fluted corkscrew

This one is pretty special as it belonged to my best mate’s dad who passed away two weeks ago at the grand old age of 91.

I was very close to Graham and had known him for 40 years. He’d been a farmer but became an academic teaching agriculture and won the honour of the Order of Australia for services to education, a great man.

The family came across the Camper amongst his possessions and have very kindly given it to me as they thought that’s what he’d have wanted

Day 17

Trying to sharpen a nick out of this Opinel, probably acquired from hitting bone when using it as an impromptu carving knife in the past. Almost got it, but will need a little more time on the stone tomorrow. I took a stumble down some steps today and had to get off my ankle before it was quite done.
