Day 29We ran out of light bulbs so I had the genius idea of trying this out. It's not a bad idea if it works, right? (Image removed from quote.)
thanks Humayd

This was so much fun!
on both counts. I had a great time following this challenge, and seeing all the different ways I can address my illumination needs. Eventually I'll add a few more lights to my arsenal, most likely starting with a headlamp that runs on alkaline (or at least user-replaceable) batteries. Thanks to awl for making this a great challenge, and to ReamerPunch for coming up with and hosting it!
I think Maglite and Surefire are a good contrast of then and now when it comes to quality lights
Day 304 of my 5 surefires, 4 6ps and one g2 nitrolon. [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
🔦 BONUS POST 🔦 Got this LEP (laser excited phosphorus) flashlight in the mail today so thought I would share some pics. it came from the kind folks at countycomm and it's called the Maratac mini LEP cosmos. it runs on a AA (14500) battery and it's technically a laser not actually a flashlight. it throws a narrow beam about a mile with no spill whatsoever but it still manages to have a fairly large hotspot at a distance. Oh boy I'm gonna have some fun with this one but it's definitely not a toy. (Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)
You’re not wrong there. Of my 21700 lights, two have 50 lm as the lowest setting outside of 1 lm moonlight modes.
That's too many lights.
