I will definitely watch that one tomorrow while I am at work!

We have done a similar thing here in the past:

As Seen on TV Part 1

As Seen on TV Part 2

All this infomercial stuff is hilarious fun!

I think my neighbor's wife watched all of these things.  Also bought the stuff.  House was full of gimmicks.  Garden weasel.  Flying lures.  I have a 'Weed Popper' somewhere.  I bought a bunch of yard tools from a guy (including a nearly new lawnmower).  I think one of his neighbors was moving and gave him all the stuff.  The 'Weed Popper' was part of the booty.  In the infomercial, you could stomp this thing into the ground at a weed and just pop it out.  If you could believe the video, with a sound like a cork coming out of the bottle.  POP.
A nasty bull thistle came up in my lawn here on Werecoyote Trail, and I decided to use the tool on it.  I stomped the frail thing into the ground and..... up popped the thistle.  Roots and all.  Didn't make a 'poit', or 'poop', or even a 'pop', but I'm a smurf if it didn't pop the weed right up.  As advertised.  My Dad used to show the thing to people and have them guess what it was for.  I will dig it out one of these days and post a photo of the marvel.  Best wishes.  G

My parents had one. Worked pretty well the few times I used it.

I wouldn't try that in the rocky/clay soil around here.

You linked the same post twice, Bossman. I want to see the other half of your brilliant purchases.
