Woolworths accepted the return with no fuss, but they only offer store credit. So I got the cheese I wanted.
Coles accepted the return with no fuss, and offered full refund on the spot. Nice.
I got a few better bars and chocolates.

So everything went well. I'll remove the three tiny bars from my MRE and add a Quest bar. No maltitol, glycerol, or sorbitol.

Also, the crankt bar could not be returned because it was not listed in the receipt. So, freebie.  My brother can have it when he visits. >:D

Between your posts and mine, I have now read the word "maltitol" so many times it's lost all meaning.

Seriously, you're my hero now.

That's funny. With all the work you did with off-brand tools, you were my hero.

I've lost 5 kilos so far this month. And I have no cravings, thanks to all the snacks I found while searching for stuff for my MRE.

I’m back working in the city and discovered my work clothes are on the tight side, now walking an extra 5000-7000 steps a day so think that’ll help but need to keep watching the calories

If you want to lose weight, you should find a speSmurfpillst to help you with this question. You can visit your local gym, and I am sure you will find a trainer there. Besides that, you can contact a nutritionist who can recommend you a diet that would help you lose weight. I suggest you buy a smart scale from REMOVED to track your daily progress. Visit LINK REMOVED for more information. I am sure you won't be disappointed about it.

The Mrs isn’t having too much luck in this category, I mean at first she did, she went from 414lbs and slowly worked her way down but then had more problems with health, but she pushed things aside and ended up getting her weight all the way down to 155lbs, after doing so she kept trying to keep it that low but for some reason she had a hard time and it bumped up to and kept fluctuating between 163-165, which in her case is a good number because if she was to have all the skin removal done from how stretched out she was she’d probably loose another 20lbs, so think of it 143-145! Not bad from being over 400! But her problem now is that with her heart condition they have her on a Rx and she’s unable to workout, so it’s pretty much like being on vacation, and yet she’s already up 10lbs because the one Rx they had her on literally doubles whatever food, plus no working out, so she going nuts! And of course who do you think has to put up with her.. they cut the one Rx so I’m hoping the lbs won’t go up anymore not just in her case but also mine so I don’t have to hear her!

I'm sorry to hear about your wife's health issues and hope that they are resolved swiftly.

I'm not entirely sure what your intent was, but your message came off as massively unsupportive of her, listening to each other's problems is part of being in a relationship, it's a two-way street.

Sorry, I was just trying to bump the subject, I’ve been so proud of her and totally supportive of her through every little problem she’s had, she was originally in a wheelchair and I was the one who got her going, I got her to walk to the end of the block and back (just a couple hundred ft) but then she was walking without the wheelchair over a mile using a Walker, then I had her doing better without one and only a cane, till I had her ditch that, then she took off and was walking faster then me on the treadmill I got her, it’s like every time she gets high something has to knock her down, it’s just our luck, I know I got to get on a few machines and start doing some working out myself, so when her pain levels go down and the docs give her the “ok” I’m sure I’ll be in our little workout room along side her!

Many who go from such heavy weight have a hard time "seeing" themselves as anything but that.  No matter how much weight is lost any gain is a tremendous set back to them.   I've worked with a few morbidly obese ladies and its been pretty much the same deal.

Once they get to a lower BMI many issues as a result of the prior weight show up.  Hopefully she can focus on getting herself healthy as her first priority rather than "skinny".  Nothing will matter if she's 115 but no longer around.

I've had this conversation with those I worked with and its interesting that "skinny" or their target weight was more important than working on any damage being obese may have caused.

She's a smart lady.  It'll take her a moment to recalibrate and get herself as dedicated to her current health issues as she is/was on her loosing all that weight.

Just stumbled on this year-old thread and your post caught my eye. Sounds like you scored on your return game, my friend! Props to you for being mindful of what goes into your MREs. And a Quest bar is a solid choice - tasty and good macros. The freebie crankt bar's a nice bonus too! Your bro's in for a treat when he swings by. BTW, while we're on the topic of weight loss, check out this article  REMOVED I recently came across. Not suggesting anything, just thought it might be an interesting read.

Yeah, I remember this. This was fun. It felt so good having lost all that weight. I was a different person. And now I am back to square one. My injury really took a toll on me. So, starting in June, I am starting all over again. I doubt I can recreate the success of my past efforts, but I have to try. I had thought of posting in this thread for so long, but I didn't. I kept telling myself I'd rather eat whatever and not exercise, instead of committing to this ordeal. I wouldn't follow my own advice in this thread. Yeah, my motivation was just about zero. But I am here now. I have made up my mind. I am tired of being tired all the time, not able to move like I used to, lift what I used to. Running may be a little hard due to the injury, so we'll see. I'll focus on fat loss, muscle gain, mentality shift.

I don't think I'll be posting every day, since I have the badge already (although with how much I've fallen, maybe I shouldn't have it anymore). Anyway, that's it. If anyone is in the same boat, or just thinking about change, they are welcomed to join me.  :salute:

Thanks, here’s me and the Mrs, she wanted pics of her side by side so she could see the diff, and here it is, she actually was into the 140’s after this but then took a big hit health wise, so she’s right back to the same as the photo, which I think is a good thing, the same with two docs, as low as she was they said she’d be better if she gained some back.. as for me it’s all in the belly, but to finally hit 175 from almost 220 after all these years I was shocked, only another 10lbs to go, I might get there sooner or later..
