:o

He doesn’t sound like the sort of bloke I would lend any tools to  :-\

I recon you should give him a cheap multitool as a gift then the next time he wants to borrow yours you can say  :pok:  ‘wheres the one I gave you?’

Sorted  :D

That's how I would do it also Tony :tu:

Just used the flat driver on my Cadet to open a new tin of pipe tobacco.  :)  Later my Rodgers smokers' knife will see some use cutting the tobacco (it's a pressed/flake type, my favorite) and tamping the pipe.

I've had a semi-busy day for MT use (unusual for me).  I used the Charge TTi's saw and the Rebar's file to shape a car out of a wood block for my daughter's math project.  I also used my PSTII's Phillips and flathead to replace a blown license plate bulb.

I used my Letherman Surge and Victorinox XLT to install a 5.1 Surround System in our clinic. Mostly the Philips drivers of both tools, Surge's pliers and plain blade and Vic's Electrician's blade and wire stripper. Both worked great!

I've used my Leatherman Wave to Open a bottle, rip out some nails and work a small hole into some wood!

It's spoilt by stupidly bulky scales which are made to be ergonomic, but have the opposite effect unless you have gigantic hands. It's manageable ... just ... for me, but with slimmer scales it would be excellent!

Used my Vic Explorer and LM Wingman to make a few paracord keychains with my daughter.  (Cutting cord and tightening knotted cord.)

So far I've used the awl on my Pioneer to open a couple boxes, and my Micra to cut the ends off of a couple zip ties.

That's cool that your uncle passed his talent on to you.  I have a friend who is great with drawing with no teaching at all other than his own practice/persistence.  Him and I were planning out a story for a comic and bounced around several ideas and he even had started drawing a few pages of it for a visual.  I was going to write since I can't draw ;)  Unfortunately, same as you, basically life just got in the way and we don't have the time for something as involving as that now.

Yeah it is.  We were really into the idea of doing it for a while, but it was getting harder and harder to fit in the necessary time to hang out and brainstorm and all that's involved in that type of project.  We rarely hang out now as we both are married with a couple kids, so it's not easy to plan.  We had pretty much given up on it quite a while ago, but he would occasionally bring it up or do random sketches.  Perhaps things slow down once the kids are grown up, but that's a long ways away for me since we just had a baby like a month ago, although my oldest is pushing 13, so in a few years I'll be halfway there.  Unless of course we have another ;)

Yeah it's crazy, a 12 yr old going on 13, and an almost 6 week old baby.  The first is from a different mother, otherwise I wouldn't have allowed such a gap in between.  Haha, that's funny :D  It seems to happen quite a bit I've noticed ;)  Fortunately, this place has that kind of friendly atmosphere where we can all just get sidetracked in enjoyable conversation ;)

I hear ya.  I may have it in me for one more as I would like a boy, but the risk of getting another girl makes me think twice ;)  I had also forgotten what a baby does to your routine and schedule, etc., so that also gives me second thoughts :ahhh  I'm not sure I want to deal with another baby after this one (she's not bad, it's just that there's so much to take care of.  I've been used to an older, more independent kid for a few years now, so it's quite a change).  Still, in a couple years or so we will have forgotten this and may end up trying for a boy, but only once more, that's for sure ;)
