Vic Spirit hanging loop

I love the Spirit but usually don't carry it because my preferred method is to dangle tools in my front pocket. After staring at it for a while I came up with a really simple idea to do just that... the pics are pretty much self explanatory I reckon












Definitely not rocket science I know, but really cheap and easy to do. It's 2mm accessory cord with a figure of eight knot on each end. I trimmed and melted the ends so it can't come undone but it can of course be easily removed. My hanging method includes a McGizmo clip attached to the tool more cord in the middle and a small S-biner on the jeans (I know they are not the safest but it would only fall in to my pocket).

This method works for me as I like MTs to be in my pocket but not touching the bottom. It could be easily adapted to attach to anything though I reckon and does not get in the way of the tools function in any way. I hope someone finds this useful

Nope, it hasn't got anything to clip to or hang from, hence my string solution!

There are a couple of clip mods around but this is far easier and cheaper

Seriously Chrissy that is a great idea! I like how you've got the length set to be almost taut with the tool folded, yet it doesnt get in the way at all when the tool is unfolded. Nice job!

I too independently thought this might work for a pocket dangler, but I've never gotten a hold of a Spirit to test it on. Guess im not as smart as I thought I was, nuphoria thought of this 6 years ago

Really neat idea, and I've just did that to my Spirit after looking at this thread.

I always like to carry MTs in th pocket but without them touching the bottom, now this is perfect.



A great excuse to carry my Spirit more often, and no need to do dissasembling, drilling or anything.
