Bonds of London? :pok:
Yes

And do they have a URL?

http://www.bondsoflondon.com/catalouge/moredetails.asp?id=2078&cid=28
 :salute:

There has been a thread or two on this in the past.  Great to see another person excited about this discovery.  Really nice knife and you get it in mint condition.

I finally got hold of the VSAKCS Astonaut a couple weeks or so ago.  I was very excited to finally get this version (no woodsaw).  I was surprised and very happy to find that it had the latest Stainless Steel metal file/saw.  I think this could be one of the first knives to feature that?  Anyway it makes it extra special.

The 'Astronaut' has landed. BNIB chuffed to say the least.

It would appear that there may be some left! :climber:

The figure "82" is embossed on the underside of the box. I assume that this indictes the year of manufacture as 1982. Having checked on SAKWIKI this would indicate that as the Astronaut model was made from 1986/91 that this maybe the 'Master Craftsman' although the box is marked Astronaut'

Any comments :salute:

This is my latest SAK, a mother of pearl Victoria Champion:

The picture does not do it justice: I think it has never been used, except maybe the small (clip point) blade. It has all the cool stuff like the long nail file, +PAT opener and 5 turn corkscrew. It even came in a pouch (4.0520.3) :D

No idea about the "82" on the bottom, but as noted in the wiki your tool configuration would be the same as a Master Craftsman.  However, it can also be correctly refered to as an Astronaut; marketing was on top of the potential opportunity.

It was fun to revisit the old threads, and I edited the wiki a bit to mostly clarify and reduce verbage.

Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day,
listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is by no means a waste of time

Now I need to find a 91mm Golfer for the family tree.

Another real beauty!

I don't think someone just removed the serrations on the orange peeler. I don't remember if I've seen one before, has anyone else seen the non-serrated orange peeler?

Very cool  8)

I don't think I've seen a plain edge peeler in the flesh.  I read somewhere that this is how they were originally and serrations added later but don't ask me where I read it
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

A damaged (blade) hunter, a cigar cutting wenger (needed one) and a polished Stainless steel (Unusual for me, or maybe it is common???)  Victorinox classic.

Nice! I have never seen an alox Executive with a bail. I have seen the regular cellidor Executive with bail.

I have several older Executives that have the smooth edge orange peeler blade. Also some with the fine serrations. Some photos and links;
