Hi All,

My latest are a pair of Alox Classics, one in lime green and the other in orange. No idea if they will be users or stay in the packets as yet?

Also considering a Compact as ive found them at a rather nice price!

Since finding this forum my interest in SAK's has been re-ignited, absolutely great reading.

ATB, Jon.

These ones all arrived while I was on vacation :) It felt like Christmas when I came home and got to open all those packages 8)

  • Smooth alox Executive, old style scissors, some scratches on the scales
  • Spartan with Victoria Officier Suisse tang stamp
  • An old Windsor, different scale design than the one I already had
  • Uninteresting Classic, came with the Executive ;)
  • A Victoria model 72 H (almost mint), long nail file  :ahhh
  • Victoria SAK with exposed rivets and bail, basically a Spartan

Nice list. What are the blade & can opener markings on the 1950s Spartan? Is it an "Armee Suisse/Victoria Switzerland Stainless" & "US PAT PEND" version or a "Victorinox Switzerland Stainless/Victoria Officier" & "+PAT" version?

Great choice, I love the explorer. I've owned mine for about 24 years and carry it most of the time (I give it a little rest every now and then). The magnifier glass has a grey surround on mine?

Regards, Jon.

They changed to the new style in 2004.  Yours will be glass with an 8x magnification and the new ones are plastic with a 5x magnification but a wider field of view.

Really like the one on the far right, is it wood (as have a non sak in the same finish) or cellidor ?

They are all celidor. I bought them because of the Canada flag. However, the third one on the right has me thinking somewhat, as I can't see any Vic logo on the scales. I had assumed it wore off or something, but that does not appear to be the case.

My latest SAKs are these 10 guys:

I'm really very happy with these ones! They don't show up very often around here, almost never the complete sets, let alone Collection no. 1 and no. 2 at the same time!

Must-haves for 74mm fans like me  8)
