Nice! Right to the Farmer, huh? You're screwed..... ;)

I know, right? I was lookin at Cadets, and all the smooth scaled advertising alox, trying to be conservative with spending. But soon I would see that wood saw and so went I to the shoppingcart.

I always passed them up thinking "those boring ones with only blades"...but after seeing them on here...the top-down shot of them closed...seeing how thin the scales are and how durable they seem, been missing out this whole time!

Now you'll want a red one, or an old cross one, then a Farmer X when they come out - it never ends. The Farmer has to be one of the most popular Victorinox models out there.

t...just went and bought this... SMEEN THE BEAN! My first whitescales.
This beats Ryan N.'s alox... Now lets go hunt for yellow scales

Well...Ryan N is a mighty nice knife tho. But I'm gonna spend the rest of my life wondering who Smeen is.

Matterhorn and Farmer, previously mentioned, showed up today...the Matterhorn really needs a cleaning.

But not to be a repeat post, also got this Waiter. Says "MC". I figure it's Irish or it's going to start rapping.

This was my first with the combo tool, I'm surprised it can cut through a can, no edge to it at all. Must be a lot of force at that contact point.

Smeen is still in the mail haha. Might have to be my next avatar picture.

I saw one recently that said "EYE-NEZ", which is how some Americans pronounce Inez. Like we sometimes say Eye-talian or Eye-raq instead of Italian or Iraq. But it was actually spelled out as "EYE-NEZ" on the knife.

I had just watched PeeWee's Big adventure right before going on ebay and there's a scene with that name said like that, so it was a little weird and spooky
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYfjq3ZYZbA&feature=youtu.be&t=45s

If I ever see a knife with LARGE MARGE on it I'm totally buying it.

Here's my latest. All cleaned up and waiting for its new clothes to arrive :)

(pic removed)

Let's see a pic with the new scales when they're on!

Since there's no scales, did you just dip it into a solvent (acetone, etc)? I have the Matterhorn here, basically also a Deluxe Tinker, that really needs a deep cleaning as well...was thinking about ordering some new scales so that I could just soak it over night.

I really like this combo of tools for a 4-layer knife.

I got it in a trade with Aloha as a "little extra" - the scales were pretty beaten up as he'd told me but the knife is sound. All I've done is scrub it and chucked it in the ultrasonic cleaner for a bit and wiped it down.

I've ordered some Camo replacement scales for it but they won't arrive until after I leave for holiday next week unfortunately. I'm also making enquiries about some white or yellow scales, so assuming they won't break the bank I might have a choice to make when I get back :)

I used to come here a lot.
