Better pics of some of my latest SAKs :)

The Space Shuttle Master Craftsman is a very modern version since it has the stainless steel metal saw/file and the brass/copper/bronze/gold/... scissors rivet :)

Very nice photos.  :salute:
Cannot wait for my Shuttle and Huntsman to arrive now.  :mail:

Does that mean Victorinox is still making the Master Craftsman/Shuttle?  I thought the scissor pivot change just happened in the last six months or so.

Not a Lumberjack...  for reasons known to someone, somewhere, in Canada this SAK gets sold as a Plumber.

That because the pipes in the Land of Canadia are made of wood eh? :D

As far as I know they are still being made for the Japanese market only.
I've got a box of them arriving soon. Check my trade section as i'll put one up there soon.  :salute:

Got my 125th Anniv. edition CT34 today!   :climber:

What a beautiful tool it is!  I'm going to keep it as a shelf queen for the time being.  I may eventually start carrying it, but I would hate to damage the beautiful Vic logo checkerboard pattern on its scales.

I also got my modded Outrider back from Steve today too!  I am so happy with it!  All I had him do was remove the saw blade, but it's made such a difference!  It's lighter and narrower overall (from four layers to three) and has exactly everything I need in a pocket carry tool.  It's replacing my Juice S2 for EDC pocket carry now.

Many thanks Rick, it was a nice surprise in a rotten month  :salute:
Very nice with the labeled box.  Maybe they didn't like the Canadian Lumberjack stereotype.

This silver farmer "Ted Nugent".
There are also some made in red and black alox but these I don't have!

Nice!  :tu: I tried to win a few of those, Black and Silver alox versions both Pioneers I think. I guess there is just too much demand for these. Prices seem to go well beyond my value appreciation level.

and black Farmers.

Sorry if I'm repeating myself here, but I got my Outrider back from Steve for a modding a couple of days ago.  All he did was remove the saw blade.  Now it's the perfect EDC tool for me!  Has exactly everything I want and regularly use in an EDC tool, and absolutely nothing I don't!

Main blade; for all sorts of things, letters, packages, boxes, lunch, etc.

phillips driver; mostly for changing batteries in my daughter's toys.

can opener; i'm living away from my family right now... this one is indispensable!!!

small and large flathead drivers; again, all sorts of things, lg. one good as an impromptu pry-bar

bottle opener; beer after work

scissors; again, all sorts of things, mostly opening stuff (you ever tried opening a package of peanut M&M's by hand!?

corkscrew; untangling boot laces and shoe laces after going for a hike/walk

reamer/awl; I'm a professor, I occasionally smoke a pipe (yeah, it's a stereotype, sue me! :) )

micro screwdriver; I'm a professor!  I wear glasses!

It's a good 2 - 3 mm thinner now without the saw, a full layer thinner, and it's still a little on the bulky side for pocket carry, but I love it!  Most useful tool I own now!  Fits my needs perfectly!

Thanks Steve!

(I still carry my Executive too though... can't live w/o the orange peeler and the nail file!)

Red Nugent Pioneers exist. This is from an eBay auction almost two years ago, which sold for a grand total of $23 (to a member of this forum I believe).

The information of these Ted Nugent SAK's are hard to find.
Are there more than the 3 colours Farmers and the red Pioneer?
These are very collectable now and like many vintage alox now highly priced.

The Japanese Shuttles have the newer fine screwdriver, chisel as well as the hook on the back with the Stainless Steel metal-saw file.

Made a new EDC for myself out of two SAKs: a Minichamp USB. Used one of the laser-cut handles as a gasket to join the SAKs together (with some help from a rubber mallet.) It's a little thick, but still pocketable.

Just 256 megabytes, but almost as many blades :)

Those scales are awesome! What material are they cut from? You could fill the cross with glow epoxy and press 1/8" stainless ball bearings into the holes to cover the brass for a perfect rivet sort of look.

100 of them for 6 bucks,  http://www.mcmaster.com/#type-440c-stainless-steel-balls/=ga7mlb
