Nice one Tom!

I prefer my Charges without X's..... The Ti vs XTi, the AL vs ALX.... That second screwdriver bit holder bugs the crap out of me.

I agree Def.  For me, the dedicated flat driver is much more useful, mostly as a pry tool.  At work that's what the flat driver on my SAKs gets used as most of the time.  We'll see how the AL does in that role......

I like it, Terry.  Today was my first day back at work since I got it, and it got a pretty good workout.  :tu:  The pliers are comfortable to use, the flat driver works well as a light pry bar, and the scissors, while certainly not a Vic, aren't bad.  I didn't carry a dedicated OHO folder today like I usually do, but the 154CM blade opened a LOT of boxes and broke down a LOT of cardboard without any issues at all.  Playing with it the past few days has the PE blade nicely broken in to do the lefty middle finger flick to open it quickly.  The saw cut some trim pieces down to make stain samples too.  Overall, I have to say this one is a winner!  :tu:

Hi guys! :D I just recently bought a Leatherman Charge TTI (2013 version) and saw that the handles have different date codes, one side has 0213 and the other side 0413.

Just want to ask if it is possible to have different date codes on the handles of Leatherman multi-tools?  ??? Like in my case for example.

I hope this is the the right thread for my question. :D

Welcome ize_10   This seems to happen regularly from what I've read here.  There are a variety of reasons for it, although since yours is the 2013 version, it's probably just more along the lines of them using parts with different date codes for whatever reason.  I believe those date stamps only represent when that particular handle/part was manufactured, not when the entire multitool was put together.  I have a PST with one handle dated from '97 and the other from '04, so it's not really unusual as far as I can tell anyway.  Anyone correct me if I'm wrong ;)

First, welcome to MT.O!¡! Monrogue is correct. All the handles are made, stamped and put into bins for assembly.

That PST could be a refurb

I was thinking that may be the case.  I can't imagine that it was assembled in '04 and there still happened to be a handle from '97 lying around, but who knows?

Since I was carrying my ReCharge today, I figured I should probably sign up to the owner's club  :D.

First multitool ever was a Charge XTi. I still have that one and it's retired to the safe for sentimental reasons. It also gets the nod as most carried tool as it saw belt/pocket time for 5 years straight with no competition. (Then I found this forum and everything went out the window  ;)).

I also have the recently retired Chrage TTi which has been modded into a ReCharge variant.

I also have the new Charge TTi but it doesn't see much carry at the moment.

If I find a cheap Rebar again, sure :tu:
For now I`m thinking about a PVD coating for the Charge but I don`t know which one.
Maybe complete black in DLC, maybe golden handels and the blades and tools in black DLC or vice versa, maybe only DLC for the blades and tools.......I really don`t know yet.
