I just don't get how you locked the scales into the SAK?
I can see the lil tubes but don't really see how you "pined" it ?

smiley really captures how I felt when the polish was done. I was like, "This is smurfin awesome! I can't smurfin believe I made this! Smurf!"
Now I've calmed down a bit.
The pins are flared on the ends and the holes in the scales are countersunk. I made 2 sets of tapered mandrels with different point angles so I could flare the tube ends out, then down, and they got sanded flush when I did the polishing. Since titanium is so eager to work harden they are locked in there good. The back tool pins are also peened into countersunk holes and sanded flush. It's a ridiculously complicated way to put a SAK together but it works and looks good.
