I felt like wrapping a bit of cord around my no-name LED flashlight.
I started by doing half hitches around the middle, and after that I took a shot at some turks heads.
on the left side is the 1st one I made, with 2 passes and on the right is my second attempt with 3 passes.

The flashlight is almost 4 inches long, and the cord I used is really thin.

PS: all of the burned ends are on the other side, I still haven't figured out how to make them invisible  ::)

I followed JD of TIAT's most recent video tutorial for the 'Snake Belly Bar' knot, to make this paracord bracelet with a side release buckle...

Beautiful! I had to try it myself yesterday, but I had difficulties to finish it off with the buckle. How did you do it?

Once you have the bracelet length you want, all the strands go around the other bracelet end, tuck the inner two center strands back into the knotwork on the under side of the bracelet and trim them, tie a square knot with the outer two strands around everything at the end of the bracelet, and tuck/trim the ends into the underside of the bracelet as well to finish.  ;)

Wow nice work Turnstone  :tu:

Love the snake knot, it looks so cool. So what did you put inside the monkey's fist ?

I see you have a GITD thing on one of your lanyards, where did you get that from?

Thanks, Essexman!

Inside the monkey fist is a marble. We found a bag full of them when we cleared the house of my grandparents, who passed both away last year  :( so it's nice to have a use for them and it adds a little bit of personality to the monkey fits.

I got the glow-in-the-dark things (I love them!) from a guy at candlepower-forums. I am not a member over there, but just paypal him, let him know what you want via the paypal note, and done. I did it twice, no problems.  :tu:

A little Ocean matt....

Paracord keyring attachment things....

A dragonfly....(wait till my 8yr old finds out I used her beads! :])

Lastly, I've had this idea in my head for ages for a short stubby dog lead or "Traffic lead". So it starts with four cords braid, into a diamond knot, which gives you eight cords. The round shaft is a eight cord sinnet, approx 13 inches long. This is topped with a wall&crown knot. The handle is a king cobra over four cords. I made the handle far too long, it just didn't work. Next time I think I'll make the handle with a large four cord snake knot.
So before taking it apart I took some pics.....

Here's a link to a larger image(click on photo in link for full size), but since my 5+ year old digital camera is just 5MP, it may not look so great at higher resolution.  :)

Tying a long 4 bight TK knot around a drinking straw as a mandrel first, then pulling the paracord through, is easier than tying it around the paracord, when making a lanyard or bracelet with the knot. ;)

The bracelet version is a 61 lead 4 bight turks head knot, with paracord for the core attached to a 3/8" side release buckle.  Looking at the bracelet you can see where I've used the hemostats to pull the paracord ends coming from the buckle, back through some of the knot work on the inside to secure them, and I'll go back to trim and tuck those to finish.  It makes for a tight fit, but could be further secured with needle/thread.

I thought i'd put up pictures of some old stuff I did.

Just some random pieces I had laying around...most of them were just for practice which is why they still have loose ends and stuff.

..and I picked up some more cord on the weekend (wish they had more colours.)

If you want to order lots of groovy colours to play with, I higly recommend http://www.supplycaptain.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=19

Good stock and delivery to the UK was very reasonable, so I'm sure it's great to the US :)

Here's a long 4 bight turks head knot lanyard, 109 leads 4 bights, made with black and tan 1.4mm cord over a paracord core.  The turks head part of the lanyard is about 2 ft long, using over 60 feet of 1.4mm black and tan cord...  The turks head knot was tied around a rifle cleaning rod as a mandrel.
