Just got the nitecore tube in green and blue. Was surprised to see how small and light it was. Attached one to my coat zipper and I think ill attach the other one to my purse.

 :tu:

I have one on my car keys, one on my house keys, and one I haven't decided what to do with yet  :D

Dang that E20 is a great deal.

Been looking for a bigger light for in the Truck and in a drawer at the house. Added bonus I don't have to give the wife a PowerPoint presentation on how to operate it.

Will it work with l-ion batteries?

No Li-ion, only Ni-MH rechargeable cells  :-\ It can run on lithium primaries, which I like.

Meh no big deal. This light would be more for the wife and kid anyhow so bleeding edge battery tech is not really necessary.

That was exactly my reasoning and so far so good, the wife is able to use it and in fact seems to like it (the baby can't really form an opinion yet). I keep it in a drawer next to a box with 4 spare lithium primaries in it, just in case. I hate throwing unused alkalines away every couple of years.

Must upgrade to rechargeables...

Just got me an Xtar charger last month but the budget ran out before I could get some batteries.

Can't wait to get me some soon.

Apparently Xtar chargers are very good for Li-ion cells. I was recommended one that can do various sizes and chemistries but alas at ~€60 (and no batteries, of course) it'll have to wait.

Just got a Convoy S3. My first convoy light. It's great for the money. Nice floody beam.

I've not got one, but I keep reading that the Convoy lights are excellent bang-for-buck. :tu:

For the first time in about 3 years, I have a new torch!  Well, a new one that I haven't owned previously, I did buy a new Streamlight microstream last year but that was a repeat.

I just got a Nitecore MT2A after some suggestions in a thread I posted with some questions.  This light has a hell of a beam, it is quoted to throw it 150+ meters, and boy does it back that up.  In turbo mode it is 345 lumens.  Just the high mode is around 160, which is brighter than anything I've routinely used.  My SA2 Eluma had a max brightness of 245, but I used it on the 48 lumen setting.  The medium on this new nitecore is 55 lumens, so that's even better.  Looking forward to getting to put this bad boy to use.

I was given this, mint, military grade, aviation finger light. I changed the batteries and it works fine.

From what I know it must be this model here:

Two settings, filter.

Not a latest flashlight, but I just figured I could use my Quark Mini AA with a 14500 cell. A bit late of a discovery, lol, but it's amazing on high. I wish I could measure the lumens :D.

Do you have a smartphone? if so there's a chance that you have a lux meter (used to auto-dim screen brightness), find it and aim the flashlight right at it (tune the position until you get the maximum value in lux)
CPU-Z app for android will give you the lux value in sensor section, then you need to measure the apex angle and distance between sensor and LED ==> then calculate the cd and lm (that you can adjust with the brand specs using standard batteries)
Here is my example when i wanted to show thermal throttling on MT06.

Wow. Are you a physicist or something :D Thanks for the advice, but I guess I'll pass. I'm really not good at calculating stuff and I do have a smartphone, but I don't have a clue what you're talking about

Anyway, compared to flashlights that state 100+ lumens (130-40), the Quark with 14500 looks a lot brighter, I'd love to say twice brighter.

Here's my phone's best picture-taking ability, though :D

So, the brighter one is the Quark + 14500 and..

in the first picture we have Fenix LD02 on high, 110 stated lumens

Here it's compared to a Black Water Kite /MecArmy Illuminex at 130 stated lumens

I've watched a few reviews in the last hours and a couple of people said that using 14500 the light gets to 260 lumens

I bought 2x Nitecore Tubes, and a Fenix E05 to replace one that have misplaced for several weeks.

I found the E05 that I had misplaced.  Thanks everyone for your prayers.
