Here in Switzerland it's rainy again. . In the last three months I had exactly two days off without rain in Switzerland. I really like rainy days, but a few sunny days wouldn't be that bad either, anyway.
Today we just walked around in our Winterthur city forest for 5 hours and hardly bumped a person. It felt good. Just a few pics.


Our secret forest place is a bit swampy, but it still exists.

My apologies for my late reply, please know that it's not because I don't reply immediately, that I don't like the pics (hope I explained it correctly).

Because I do enjoy them very much, and every time I see our little topic pop-up, it's the first thing I check.

I've been hiking a lot these past weeks, it helps to get away from stuff.  Nothing fancy, all hikes are done very close to home.  Even though I don't focus on taking pictures like I used to, I do take a pic occasionally, but I just haven't found the time to post them here.

So many beautiful memories...

Went there during our 2016 trip to Switzerland, best vacation ever.  And it was there that I found my Victorinox Swisschamp XL, brand-new (well, actually it was Misses TG-24 who noticed the "old style" Victorinox box behind the counter).

And in the same shop I got two Snow Rangers and one Blaze Rangers, and my Mike Horn Souvenir.

As I mentioned many times before,  even in this very topic  ::).

I can't help it, our vacation to Switzerland was one of the best moments of my life, so many beautiful places we've visited, and so many beautiful (and rare) SAKs I've bought in only 7 days...

Good times  :dd:.

Hey Eric, You seem to have really enjoyed your trip to Switzerland!
Every time I stop by Bühler I have to remember that my belgian forum friend was also here...

I have been coming to Meiringen with my wife for 21 years.
This is usually our "base camp" for excursions in and around Lake Brienz as well as mountain trips and crystal searches around the Grimsel Pass.

Last weekend we made a short walk by the lake "Räterichsbodensee".
The water is gray from powdered rock that was abraded by the glacier.
Here you can easy find a bay with a sandy beach to yourself!  ;)

I think it's a weird one to explain.  It's a lot bulkier than a SAK with the same tools.  And don't get me started on how much more expensive it is.

It's bulky, boxy, and at the same time so much fun to handle, like I said, weird...

But I love mine  ;).

Talking about posting pics...

Due to circumstances, it's been a while since I posted some pics here myself.  I've done quite some hiking the past weeks, but only occasionally took a pic.

But I finally sorted out my pics and uploaded them to my Imgur account, so I'll start by posting the oldest ones now.

We went on a trip with a railbike, you ride down an old railtrack that was used by the German Army during World War I, to get ammo and supplies by train to and from a base and a local small airfield.

Outside the base (that became a Belgian Army base, after the war) there's a Leopard Tank, that I thought looked cool for some pics.

Last weekend we walked above Meiringen. There is a marble run path. You get a wooden ball and start walking. Local craft companies tinkered along the hiking trail along marble runs in the area, some of them quite large. The whole thing lasted about three hours and not only the children had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I didn't take really good photos, but I'll show them anyway.







Lots of signs and a knife somewhere...

I've been using this watch during our hikes for about 2 months now, and it took a while to get the hang of it, but best way to learn how to use something is simply by using it...

Totally agree with your take on the T4 and like you I love it too, so nicely made, really like the magnet closure, the locking tools, the extra thickness of the tools, the feel in the hand etc. First SAK like tool I’ve felt that about, although I like my Gerber Armbar too, another nicely thought out tool. I’m doing 15 days with each in the SAKalike challenge at the moment

P4 is on the want list but too damn expensive :ahhh
