I just came out of the theatre. I was not disapointed! :) :) :)

Same here.  My wife and 10 year old daughter enjoyed it as well. :)

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

While that's very impressive, I suspect I'd have to murder the guy if I lived on the same street and had to live with it for the whole of Advent and Christmas. :D

I would have tossed the guitar and made a Christmas Darth Vader or something for that theme.

Ditto on the murdering as well. Just saying.  :D

If this is the same guy as the other years... then...
He can only on for one hour every night as they have to control traffick (too many accidents)

Forget the new Star Wars. Nothing like the old ones. Just think of the plot:

Saw it, loved it.
Wife saw it, loved it, made me get the New Hope DVD now so she can catch up with the story.

The movie had lots of flaws, but it was made with a lot of passion, from the director, actors, screenplay, music, effects... and most importantly IT WAS FUN and IT HAD MAGIC - STAR WARS IS BACK!

Yes Yes YESSSSSSSSSS! We loved it too! Old characters were fantastic, new characters (especially Rey) super fantastic! Can't wait for the next one!

+1 for Rey. So much nicer, funner, cuter and more interesting than Luke was.
Finn was kind of cool too, but not Solo-cool.
Kylo was cool in an angsty way (the Anakin we wanted)
Poe kind of sucked.
BB8 was cuter and funnier than R2D2
Let's see if episode 8 introduces someone new to fill THAT spot...

For those who've watched it, have you noticed that J.J. basically tried to remake A New Hope (like every single scene, character, reminds me of OT)

Am I the only one who not impressed by this new Star Wars movie? It is full of recycled plots from the older Episode IV, V & VI.

One new thing Episode VII teaches is, never send a janitor to do soldier's job.

Not really. Tons of haters on imdb.
While I agree the script was a bit lame and unoriginal, it was still funny, full of heart and  non-boring (looking at you, prequels).
Add to this great action and effects, great, likeable characters and nice acting as well as rosy memory glasses but pit it against the underwhelming prequels and you'll see why it's such a hit.
Plus IT WAS FUN!!!

in all honesty, had it not been a star wars movie, with the original cast, long awaited, there would have been a lot more complaints...

DO NOT READ  unless you saw it - potential spoiler hints !!!!!
