I have bought the Swisstool Spirit X a few weeks ago, then I bought the Explorer right after. And now I see the SwissChamp with 50% discount on Amazon? It's only €38,00 and I did order it without thinking.

But €38,00 seems a little bit too cheap? Does Amazon sell second-hand stuff or something like that? Or are high discounts very common on SAKs at Amazon?

Never seen one for 50% off. Have you received it yet?

Added scales and cord to my new SC.

Thought this would be a good place to post a picture.

That seems like an incredible price for a new one.  Here in the States they're going for around $100 USD.

There was a time when I had quite a few SCs.  I am not sure what happened to most of them?  I'm sure I've traded them away and given them away.  Here is my no hook oldie that is more of a fidget SAK than anything.

That's a beauty Aloha.  I love the old school Swisschamps.  I'm in the minority but I actually like the pliers.  For most of what I do, they're adequate.  The crazy part is, I use the ruler, blade, scissors and pliers more than anything else, in that order.

Thank you.  I really enjoyed the SC and carried one for a bit of time.  As I've gone thru my SAK evolution I ended up with the Champion as my big SAK carry.  I went back and forth with the Champion but I see why there is so much love.

Back to the SC.  Its a workhorse and it has its place.  Those pliers are quite useful and beat the heck out of trying to pinch things.

That's where I'm at with the pliers my friend!  I use them just enough to miss them when I don't have them.

Seems like its in great (new) condition for only €38,00 with free shipping lol.

The only thing: the saw is touching the file while opening and closing the file or saw. Is there a way I can fix that?
It looks like the saw can be moved more to the other side.

And how can I see if I have the most recent version of this tool?

It looks like the saw is bent somewhere between the halfway point and the pivot.
I would look for the approximate location where the bend starts, and bend it back in extremely small amounts until it is centred again. :salute: ideally you should do this by grasping the saw with something on both sides of where the bend appears to be, so that you counteract the bend and not, say, make it S shaped.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

I just realized on older models like mine the liner between the file and WS is full and close to the thickness of the pliers liners. Newer models are the thinner liner and are contoured with the spring by the looks of it. I wonder what prompted the change.  :dunno:

That's a beautiful knife!  Congratulations!  Age wise, post a pic of pliers.  I believe I'm seeing a clear framed mag glass, but post a pic of that too.  We have subject matter experts here on the Swisschamp that can date it for you pretty closely.

Mine, bought only a couple of years ago, was like that brand new. Metal saw definitely leaning in toward the woodsaw.
In addition to the advice of posters above, Felix Immler has a good video showing corrective bending, albeit on the woodsaw blade but should work just the same.

I’ve had a couple of SwissChamps with the same issue between the file and saw. Some gentle bending fixes it right up.

Here is a post by me from an older thread.. You should quickly be able to tell if you have the newer version with the glass magnifier, or the older version with the plastic lens.

Awesome, looks like it has the recent pliers and magnifying glass. I really did expect some old stock model or something.

I just ordered a second Swisschamp at Amazon. Dont know what I am going to do with it but it's such a good price. Maybe one for in the car lol.

Why two of the exact same SAK?

I only wanted one to be honest.
But because of the 52% discount at Amazon I thought lets just buy 2, I can keep one in the car and one at home.

Together they did cost €77,00 and they are not used, brand new! Its even less than I thought I would spent on 1 SC.
