I talked to Brien yesterday and I suggested for him to talk to Def about getting a banner and he said he was already in talks with you guys.
I also suggested he could organize a few giveaways afterwards to clear his sins and get back in the forum users' good graces.

If they are willing to pay MT.O members to post links in reviews, then it should be worth it to them to pay MT.O itself.  They'll be looked upon better doing it that way, and could possibly make a few sales in the process.

Ads cost more than a handful of $1.00 flashlights.

SPAMCORP does have legitimate email addresses. E.G. Marketing (at) SPAMCORP.com
But they also have many affiliates and 'partners' online who are only paid when their links are followed.

So far MTO has not been contacted by a legitimate email address.
I have forwarded our correspondence to their actual marketing department.

If they want to do something official we'd certainly entertain it. Other than that- it is what it is.
