After deciding I really wanted a barlow , and accepting I had a snowballs chance in hell of snagging a GEC or even a case for that matter, I decided on a Boker.

And I am glad I did because the fit and finish on this little beauty is faultless. The transition from the copper bolsters to the handles And pins is perfect, and may I add the blade is perfectly Centered.

It’s pictured next to a copper lumentop that has taken a beautiful patina and I am hoping the bolsters on this knife do the same.

Couldn’t be happier with it.

Great looking knife Chip.  :tu: I've thought about one of these myself.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Very nice Barlow indeed, Boker sure makes good knives (once their crappy lineup is forgotten : Böker Magnum, I'm looking at you)
Meet me also on youtube & instagram for mostly knives (and multitools) content

Thank you M47 and David,
Despite being a small knife  it has a decent sized blade with a really strong snap in both directions including the half stop. And generally feels very well built.👍

I like the way it carries.  The little Swiss+Tech and the Opinel both weigh the same if you can believe what is quoted on the net.  Each is 1.6 ounces.  Best wishes.  G

Is it a trad knife or is it a multitool?  :ahhh  Either way it is a present from my wife.  :)  Richards knife with add-on screwdrivers and opener tool.

I traded a Case Trapper (earth brown G-10--I'm slowly getting to the point where I only buy knives with natural handle materials) and $15 with a local antiques store owner for these.

Camillus #11 "Coal Miner".

I've seen one other--a complete and utter POS that an eBay seller in FL has been trying to off-load for years (for twice the $35 that was asked for this one). This one has not been used, though verdigris did some damage to the brass.  I have no idea if this was something Camillus regularly offered, or was made for a business in the coal industry.

SwissBuck Trekker.

My first good SwissBuck. My previous one (Globetrotter) had multiple damaged tools and heavily worn handles. This one was carried and used, but not much. Had to clean a lot of filth off of it, but otherwise, it's like-new. The blades even still have their factory edges.

Looks like that one is much smaller than what I normally see with toolkit knives. Guessing around 3.5" closed? I have a similar frame Richards pen that's a Blackpool souvenir.

I don’t have a SwissTech anymore, bur can confirm that 1.6 oz for the Opinel No. 8 is accurate.

Not even that long.  Just measured it as 3 1/8".  :)

Lovely knife knife Steve.  Can I ask what the special order detail is?  I see you're still getting fluffy white stuff falling from the sky!  :ahhh

I think these were made in 2020. Jack had them made up by Ashley Harrison using Ebony sourced from a bagpipe maker. They have a swedge and Lambsfoot etch that
 A. Wright no longer used on their production Lambs. He had some large and regular Lambs made. I believe it was the last SFO he did with them as the quality had gone down with new ownership. They seemed to have righted the ship a bit since then.

Yep, back to winter for a few days or so.
