@ Dunc - what caused the big boom, mine or bomb?  Incidentally, the shot of HMS Victory is great!  :tu:  Three ships I want to see in England - HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, and HMS Caroline, which is the last existing ship to have fought at Jutland.
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

HMS Victory and HMS Warrior are both in Portmouths Historic Dockyard , I went in October mainly to see Victory but Warrior was a pleasant suprise , it's huge and very spacious and light inside and is a joy to walk round.

The explosion on the beach was a Second World War 3 inch shell , made quite a bang  :D

At first I thought it might have been the Bessemer Converter at Kelham Island, but the top doesnt match the images on Google. Also it kind of looks more like a crucible  :think:

it was indeed taken at Kelham island and is of one of the crucibles outside. :salute:  Don't remember it having a sign mounted on it though. :think:

No, I haven't,  this one was just a screen grab off TV, hence the "ONE HD" logo.

  Saw some R.M. Williams (Australian) feed in facebook, which lead to this story. Clicking that photo brings up a bright widescreen shot of something I'd like to go rolling around in barefoot, and grabbing a few handfulls of!

I use the Nexus Revamped Pro wallpaper on my S3 and switched to this one on my PC.
