 :hatsoff: Thanks Barry.

My favorite SAKs are from the 90s era. Victorinox was at the height of their game, IMO. I'm not much of a fan of sheaths with Velcro, so the Skinth is the way to go for me.

The scales on this one are a bit beat up and the knife is like new otherwise but I can't bring myself to replace the scales because I like the German cigarette ad. It lends some character.

Happy SCS!

I'm carrying this one today while considering the Go BIG challenge.  It might be nice to not carry a SAK in my pocket for a while, and these S-shields are so much less bulky than the Victorinox pouch options.

Nice pouch. Which model is it? I found the S Shield on Skinth's site, but they say it fits a 3-7 layer SAK. Does your Swiss Champ fit in OK?

Also, does the back have a belt loop or a clip?

Thanks!
SAKs:
58mm: Bijou (3), Classic SD (7), Mini Champ Plus (mod), Alox Classic SD, Rambler (3), Companion
65mm: Wenger Esquire
74mm: Executive
85mm: Evolution S557, Traveler,
91mm: Champion "c", Swiss Champ (4), Explorer (3), Deluxe Tinker, Huntsman, Serrated Spartan/Weekender, Explorer Plus, Deluxe Explorer Plus (mod), Outdoorsman Plus, Champion "a", Champion Plus, Timekeeper Alarm, Golfer
93mm: Pioneer Alox

It's the S-Shield with a stainless clip that is very secure when clipped around the belt and waistband.  It will fit a 6-7 layer SAK with room for a AAA flashlight in a side pocket.  With the Swiss Champ in there it would only have room in the side pocket for maybe a prybar, but the Champ by itself is not a tight fit at all.

The S-Shield comparison pics below show a CT34 setup with Peak Eiger flashlight and the Swiss Champ.  In the pics, the SAKs are pulled out slightly to hold the closure flap open.  Also note how much slimmer the Skinth package is than the Victorinox large sheath.

Very nice - what generation pliers? The thinner 2.5mm ones with the smooth spine across the pivot?

Relaxing with a couple of Swiss mates, having a cup of tea.
I'm really enjoying the Swisschamp, and I'm glad I finally got one.

Thanks Tony :2tu:

I'll have to earn my Knighthood first.
I carry a Super Tinker most days, it's always in my pocket during the week. Depending on what I'm doing I'll carry another SAK in combination or instead of. Always have a Spirit in my backpack, when I'm carrying it.

Swisschamp in a sheath on my belt today. Did I mention that I really like the Swisschamp? :D
