I'm not sure how it's going on everyone else's machines, but it looks like Fora for the Vision Impaired to me?

Lots of white, and the QUOTE at the bottom of each post is sort of just floating there as random text.

Sig blocks have turned unwieldy.

I'll get used to it, but I intend to honour the old gods with an appropriate amount of surliness and grumbling until I do.

Not a fan of the mobile version as the avatars are way too big. I think I'll stick with Tapatalk.

Can't wait to try the full site tonight though.  :tu:

Hmm...
I suppose it's a case of moving with the times. But, it's such a drastic change, nothing looks familiar anymore. I actually found it hard work earlier to the point where I went elsewhere ... :facepalm:

The spacing looks better now, at least on a tablet.
Also, the empty space on the left of the avatar is now less, on a tablet.
Some things, on the signature line, look out of place.
It is a bit bright.
The likes are gone.
It was nice to see post counts - it encouraged competition.

That is actually a totally separate problem. 

Most forums purge attachments after a set amount of time in order to keep their databases from becoming unweildly.  Since much of our info is not available anywhere else I have always been against doing that, and as a result, our database is HUGE.  Like, Micah complains to me about it on a regular basis kind of huge because it is a pain in the bum to manage. 

To combat this we have set limits on the size and number of uploads.  As a consolation to that I have also started a gallery that stores images differently and offered free accounts to anyone who wanted to use it.   :pok:

Trying it on a PC, and I hate to say it, but I don't like it either. :(   The mass voids on the left with the user info, the missing post count (I know, not a big deal, but it's something I enjoyed seeing quickly), the space where the signatures and badges are just doesn't look right, and the mass amount of white space makes it look like a sterile environment.  The top menu bar looks out of place, and unpolished.

I hate to be the negative Nancy, but the old forum just seemed to flow and look much better.  Many people seem to like this though.  I'm just very big on looks, and flow, and if I don't like it, I tend to not frequent it.  The Jeep Forum changed drastically, and I went from being on it almost as much as here, to now not even remembering the last time I visited it. :(  Tapatalk is fine though, so I have no problem using that to visit here. :tu:

Bear in mind, we had years to dial in the old software look.  Give us some time to adjust, and keep giving us feedback so we know what you like and don't like.

I know, and I really do understand the incredible amount of work that would have been put into this new setup.  I'm just one person that happens to be VERY stuck in my ways with somethings.  I say, as long as the majority like it, that's all that matters.  Switching to a newer, faster setup is the right way to go, and I applaud you and the others involved for making the switch.  Deciding to switch from something that worked well (at least from the users perspective) for 10 years could not have been an easy decision.
