Gareth, I can just sit and look at that knife for minutes on end.  I think it is the handle’s taper that draws me in. It is a very nice design.

Along your example, and because I have my Rebar with a full size blade, I went down size to my Robeson for Traditional carry today.

Very cool mate.  :D  How do you like it?  I'm a big fan of the design, but I admit I would be happier with a stronger pull on the blade.

I like it just fine!   It is comfortable in the hand, yet with the 6.5 Stag, it is a beauty just laying on the table.

Yes, the pulls on many CASE knives are at best a 6 at most.   Yet, it is my impression these knives are made more for looking pretty than for hard work.   Not like the A Wrights and other Sheffield made knives.

Older models, especially the CV fitted blade models have good back-springs requiring stout thumb nails.   But, Zippo acquired CASE to make a profit and collecting is the pathway to insure positive results.

But, to be totally frank! I always adored your shared pictures of your Tear Drop, and it was the driving factor to purchase it, the handle material was another factor.  😉

Hope yours is as good!

Speaking of Tear Drops, I am drooping over them and have been since G showed his.  The 6.5 is a beauty.

Was out in the yard doing some clean up.  The rains got the weeds going crazy.  Happy to spend time out and enjoying some on and off sun.  Today is raining so I'm very glad I did.

Carried my Case 25 1/2.

a Tear Drop decked out in Stag…

It is comfortable in the hand, yet with the 6.5 Stag, it is a beauty just laying on the table.

You’re probably aware of this, but the 6.5 BoneStag is (bovine) bone worked to resemble stag.

Case knives with genuine stag handles will have a pattern number beginning with “5”.

Inasmuch as I feel that the term BoneStag is misleading (In English, the adjective comes before the noun; e.g. red rose, not rose red, unless connected by a verb, e.g. the rose is red.), they are still some nice-looking scales…

Case 6.5 is a play on bone 6 and stag 5 for those who may not be aware.

I am not the biggest fan of the naming tho I do like 6.5 covers quite a lot.
