The canoes are really underated.  A good size but still thin and pocket friendly.

Thank you, all! Its still growing on me, this Congress pattern  :tu:

The blade is 1095 and Im frankly hesitant to use it with anything wet (like Apple peeling) as I don't know if I will like the patina pattern that will develop  :-\

It's a lovely knife ,I had one and did a GAW on here , just use it and let it show patina of use as it will look great as it ages, all my old slipjoints look so much better like that  :tu:

Yes, I saw your GAW and was just a day late in joining it. That was the one I wanted the most to win

What did you do after every use? Wipe it down with oil?

I didn't use that knife ,but I just use my carbon bladed knives ,if wet then yes I wipe them dry but I like patina so doesn't bother me ,these should be used and memories made  :tu:

That's why I have the Bantam next to my Tidioute as you just gotta love the stainless blade of SAKs. One of these days I'll take the plunge of using my carbon blade

If I kept it mate it would of got used as I don't do shelf queens  :D all my knives get used and most of them have carbon blades as I prefer carbon,I find it easier to sharpen and like the way it ages  :tu:

Me, neither. I don't like unused tools that's why I sold some of my SAKs already.

I forced the patina on my Mora 511 and seemed to have experienced early red rust. Now I have to give it regular maintenance. I have to get used with a carbon folder, I guess.
