I guesstimeasure* that these SHEARS measure about 54mm from pivot to tip, which would make them the longest if they were scissors :D. Btw, you got the brand right... and it was a production model not some exotic, well it is exotic, but it was produced for sale.

*Hahaha, I just created a new word, it is a mixture of guessing / estimating and measuring... darn I'm good :salute:

I thought for sure dks had the right answer :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

I knew it was wrong, as it was pointed out earlier that it was not a ranger line/style product.......

According to victorinox they are scissors

https://www.swissarmy.com/us/en/Products/Swiss-Army-Knives/Large-Pocket-Knives/Ranger-Grip-71-Gardener/p/0.9713.C
Spoilsport :pok:

Nah kidding, but I really would not call that scissors but I concede that they are huge. Still we are looking for a tool that has delicate scissors (not these brutish ones) that are very long (49mm from scissor pivot to tip). The tool is made by Wenger and it does not belong to the Ranger family.

Checked, it really is there... here is a quote from the wiki page:

"scissors with full 2" blades cut all the way to the tip"

According to the wiki the scissors are even bigger than I measured :D

Swisstech Screwball :D

One of my favorite tools to play with of all time!

I am surprised Disney hasn't commissioned a reissue of it in grey with a divot on one side.

I only know of this tool because you or Bob  did a review of it when I first joined and I thought man what a "screwball" (the tool not the reviewer ;) ) and how neat and different looking it was :D

Finally!

I think its fold out scissors are genious, had they put them in the 85mm frame they would probably still be in business.
