Day: 06

Had a little yard work to take of today.

I use bamboo stakes lashed together with twine to build supports for my tomatoes. Lyndax made short work of the disassembly process:

We have a juniper tree with a few dead branches that needed trimming. One well placed chop was all it took to make a clean cut. Nice!

Went for a short walk and played with saddle axe. Found a small down cottonwood tree. after peeling off the bark I used both bits to make shavings. The saddle axe is a general purpose axe and cant be expected to perform like a dedicated wood craft axe. Even tho it has 25 degree and 32 degree bits. It is still a general purpose axe. It did well enough for me that I'm satisfied with its performance in this little test.

The FastHawk made quick work of packages when getting the Halloween candy dish loaded up... not that this will last till Halloween.
I used to be a lot of things, and someday will again.

Beautiful shot, Borg!

Fuzzy, they do have a hint of the Dane axe about them. But in a smaller package.   :viking:

Nice uses and testing, David.  :tu:

Day: 06  (bonus material)

Making some soup for supper this evening. Lyndax sliced up an onion. I split the onion in half, first. This was more of 'split' than a 'cut'. However, once halved, she sliced like a pro:

A little later, some tofu got added. Some people, and I'm not singling out Fuzzy here, think that tofu isn't very 'manly'. But when cut up with an axe, I think it has a certain machismo.
