Day 10 - opened a 50# bag of Bicarb for indoor poor, and split tape on some boxes to flatten in recycle bin. Otherwise no real knife action.
Watering plants, it’s 96 F and dry today. Picture after cleaning the blade. (Image removed from quote.)

Day: 10

No uses to day, but I will say that for a good-sized knife the Sodbuster is pretty easy to carry. Light weight and nicely contoured.

The Craftsman from the GAW arrived today.  Thanks, Steve.

It will definitely see some pocket time this challenge, especially considering its nice small size.(Image removed from quote.)

For a fun GAW Challenge, let's do some whittling with the Trad Knife of your choice.  Starting today and ending next Wednesday, I'm offering up this beautiful small Svord Peasant folder to the winner of the Whittling Contest.  The winner will be decided on by the judges, namely me, Nix, and Steve on creativity, difficulty, and detail.  Have fun! :woohoo:

Day 11

I think it was David posting his boy's knife the other day, here's mine. :D   I quite like the lanyard on this knife, it's cute.

Cool idea for another In-challenge Challenge.  :like:

This would be ICC #3.  (Oh, and a reminder, ICC #2, the Campfire Challenge, is still in play.....)

So...how does the Whittling challenge work, Barry?

Day 11:

Got out the SS Case Trapper. It was showing a good deal of pocket markings, so it got a little buffing for the next couple of days.

Before buffing.

After buffing, and ready for carry.

It is pretty nice getting the traditionals out, cleaning them, and using them! :)
That buffing has brought out some nice dark streaks that were not in the first photo. It looks great!  :like:

I am very glad I am doing this challenge! Have learned a lot in a short amount of time. Seen a lot of great looking knives thats for sure. And because it got me to looking on the net I found that Ka-Bar Dog’s Head Barlow, which I had been looking for quite a while.
As we have both said, doing a challenge where it is not model specific, is always more fun. Variety is the spice of life!
Going back to a model specific challenge is going to be kinda disappointing because you already know what to expect.
