It's not just a knife, IT'S A multitool SWISSTOOL. :ahhh :ahhh

Will have to see how finances are first. November was a rough month. Bought a pair of Thorogood 1957 waterproof boots as they are great for working on cement floors, and THEY DO make a serious difference! Then bought the Spirit X as an early BD gift to myself - Happy with that. Definitely can justify that purchase!  :D

Then the driver's license was due, and I remembered the hassle we had with TSA last CDC convention; got a Star on the card. Birth Certificate set me back $70 - ouch! Then opted for a 4 or 5 year license this time around.
And debating getting wheels for the '98 Suzuki Esteem GLX so can put snow tires on for $80 there, or pay $80 for a swap-over & hopefully can acquire enough for steel wheels before Spring - new wheels seems to be $250 there. :ahhh Two PT jobs does not bring in enough mula. And Santa keeps missing the veranda... /sigh (Miss the days when a person could get steel wheels for $20 each.) Going to try a local wrecking yard first, but Geo wheels are not a universal fit.

Besides, the SwissTool is not as sexy as the Spirit, another 3 or 4 ounces heavier. It has a ruler on each side, yet the tools are the same. If mula wasn't an issue, maybe. It's not that I do not want to, it's that this time of year is rough, and taxes mysterious keep raising when I've not made any improvements. That bill came in, but can split that. /whew

On a brighter note, we got snow today! :D The park's snow plow woke me up - early. :twak:

Day 28

Today we decorated the house for Christmas. Used the Spirit quite a few times to cut tape and wire. Also went to the store to get a timer for the outside lights. Of course it was packed in one of those smurfing blister packs. Whoever invented those should be forced to open them for the rest of his life! Anyway, the chisel made quick work of it.

Blister packs were made to sell multitools I bet. Surprised there’s no advertising about selling blister pack openers.

No photo, but used the small, long flathead driver to push a government ID card out of its holder. It may get moves out once a year, and it was quite stuck. That got it unstuck, although had to push up from both sides before it slid out so I could digitally sign a document. :tu:

Also cut open a couple packages of burritos for dinner.

I work with what I got  :D I mostly use my phone to take pictures for the forum. Last time we upgraded our contract we got new phones, and mine has 3 different lenses to choose from. Little bit overkill but also kinda cool  :ahhh

It was part of the contract, as our old phones were over 5 years old. Didn’t have to pay that, or would have never gotten it.
In hindsight I should have gotten a different one anyway. That thing is so large it barely fits in normal pockets

Where did the times go when phones were reasonable sized and not more expensive than a freakin‘ PC

SteveC, wouldn't SVL also be eligable to request the badge?  :dunno: He did the full 30 days along side Outback. I know Outback started the challenge but  SVL also compleated it.   :pok: :pok: That badge sure would look good under each of his posts.

Day 29

Noticed a nail sticking out from our neighbors fence. Since our dogs always sniff that fence because of the neighbors dogs, I figured I remove it, before they get hurt. Spirit to the rescue:

Also one of the tiny light bulbs in our Christmas light shattered. Guess that happened yesterday when I installed it. So I used the pliers to pull the broken one out, and replaced it  :tu:

Interesting how the camera lens captured those photos. When scrolling it's like an optical illusion in effect of the wood grain. Scrolling up the wood appears to grow larger, or as the eye sees in. Scrolling down and see the angle more pronounced. Maybe it's just me, or the way the two photos were placed.  :o

Smokehouse Almond are ebil? Was gnawing on some and they the tongue picked up an abnormality. First thought I had a piece of almond stuck sideways, only to find out after looking in the mirror that I broke a took. :ahhh And there was a couple of sharp edges. Out came the Spirit's file to smooth down the edges.

Going to have to find a dentist to fix that or pull the tooth. It's such a small tooth too, like en eye tooth just before the molar.

An hour earlier used the phillips driver to remove a door switch that isn't quite working. Not sure exactly how Suzuki made these door light switches, but the terminal connector is odd. Pulled from the plastic housing, with effort, and the terminal spade was about half an inch long. Though, oops! So pulled the indoor plastic cover, and there's no direct access to said light area, but a hole up higher for a connector that resides on the outer edge. Does not look like any wire is going into the inner door area from that connector.
If I pull up on the switch I get a flicker, and slowly the dome light comes on. It appears the back doors are the same, and I have one door where the nylon handle broke and just not gotten around to fixing it cause I rarely use that door anyhow. So thinking of pulling that door's switch out and replacing with the driver's door switch, if I can only find where the terminating connector is.

Should of stayed away from them Blue Diamond Smokehouse Almonds.

Day 30

Last day!  :ahhh

Already used the Spirit on our morning walk through the woods. I cut off a branch of a recently downed tree. I wanna try out whittling and needed some wood to make a spreader.

Later I will get back to the wood shop to make some more wooden custom scales, and the Spirit will get more use for sure  :tu:

Here’s my latest addition, a SwissTool Spirit in black finish XBS - love the quality of it, but fear it may be shelf queen for fear of damaging that gorgeous black lustre finish! Perhaps time to get another in silver for actual use......
