Yup!  My 40 year old Schrade needs a good cleaning to get ready for all those pictures. :D
There's still plenty of time to sign up if anyone else is interested.  Just add your name to the list.  :pok:
This challenge is for folding hunters that are the same basic size as a Buck 110 but made by other brands and they don't even have to be locking.

Out of curiousity, how do you clean your knife?
Just dunk it in soapy water, scrub and rinse?
Or do you have a more delicate process?

I'll give it a soaking in mineral oil and buff the brass to a proper shine. :D

We've just over a week before the start of the folding hunter (not a Buck 110) challenge.  I cleaned my Schrade and gave the blade a little touch up.  I hope everyone else is also getting ready.  If anyone else wants to play just add your name to the list.

Been umming and ahhing on this one, thought I might take a month off from challenges as been in one (sometimes two) since October but where’s the fun in that :dunno:

I’ve a total shelf queen GEC #97, never used that I think fits the bill. I’m going to be reluctant to use it too hard so might be mostly glamour shots, so if that’s ok I’ll add my name to the list?

Will definitely give it some proper use though, mainly in the kitchen I suspect

After the 110 challenge I’ve got a taste for these bigger beauties :tu:

I'm hoping I can score a vintage Coke Bottle Hunter before the challenge is over. I have a Colonial from the '20s, but it is a version with a fish scaler, and the backspring on that is broken, and the scales were taken off it before it was sold to me (outgassing celluloid-handle knife). Should be a slim, but big knife once rehandled.

Multi bladed trads and SAKs already have their own challenges but the Pro Hunter might qualify for this challenge if it is considered a direct competitor to and in the same basic size as a Buck 110.  That means approximately a 5 inch (127mm) handle and 3.75 inch (95.25mm) blade.  :pok: :pok:

I have a CASE back pocket folder that is every bit as big as the 110.  Do the sages of the challenge approve?  Pics later...

I would like to see the Case back pocket folder, but if it is within the same basic parameters as a Buck 110 then you're in.  Copy the list from above and add your name.
