DAY 4
Final work day today  :woohoo: (back on Friday  )

So here's the "Limb Restraints" getting out of their pouch. I haven't had to use these issued ones but, I did use some in another role, that I used to do

If GF will allow it I can show the contents of my SAR Vest/Belt on the intervening days with the caveat being they won't actually be carried, unless; 1) There's a callout and 2) I can attend. I await direction  :salute:

Sounds good to me! Just throw in some civilian Batman on some of your days off  too :salute:

Went lighter today.
Instead of the PPP, big prybar and Fenix light I put  together an extra dangler with small multitool, light and prybar to go with the tiny knife.

Poncho, How are you getting along with the Hunt'n Fisch?  I've had mine for 4 or 5 years now and it carries really well in the horizontal sheath which I prefer forward on my left side for a cross draw, but I do find the handle a tad slippery.  I wish they had given it a rougher surface.  I think it is close to ideal for an EDC fixie.

Day 04
What's on my belt continued, The SOG multitool pouch containing the Victorinox Spirit.  I have a drawer full of pouches that I rarely use and I grabbed the SOG pouch for this challenge because they are really good.  Not as flimsy feeling or loose as a Leatherman pouch and it has a plastic belt clip rather than the fixed loop of the Victorinox pouch which makes it much easier to take it on or off.

Day 04

I received a pair of suspenders for Christmas and I'm trying them out (man they feel weird) so no belt today! Instead I went for the Skinth loadout clipped to my waistband and my Boker mintool in Zebrawood clipped to a belt loop using a Nitize mini locking S Biner (Apparently Zebrawood minitools are 'in' today )

I really like the size of the blade and I haven't really thought about how slippery the handle is  I will pay more attention to that now I am sure :ahhh I carry it in the 6 o'clock position and draw it from behind  :tu: Thatbis the best place for me to carry it with everything elae.tjat I carry  The sheath is a great design and I am glad that I bought it :like:

I'll, have to dig out my suspenders then

TBH I've only ever called them "Braces" since my Ska days back in the 80's
Not sure "Batman" would have worn them but I "sus"- pect Bruce would have

There is no doubt that Alfred wore them  ;)

Take my word for it.  You're doing it wrong.  You still need the belt to position your gear around your waist but that's it's only function.  You wear the suspenders to keep your pants up and that's its only function. That way you don't have to wear the belt uncomfortably tight to support the gear and keep your pants up.  I've worn both for years.  Not lately, but I've been thinking about starting again due to this challenge.

Hence the expression "belt & braces" (that's you told then GF  )

I also wear belt & braces when I attend the Remembrance day parade in Whitehall (not this year for obvious reasons  ::) )

Braces to keep my No:1 dress uniform trousers up and the belt to ensure that I have my EDC on hand to fix the various wheelchairs and walking sticks etc of the fantastic veterans  :salute:

Thank you! I'm entirely new to wearing them and don't know of anyone that wears them irl so just assumed it was a 1 for 1 situation.

:tu: Love it.  I had a friend also back in the 80s that was really into Ska.  I enjoyed it too.  Met some good people back then.

I also call them braces however I tended to wear them alone with pants that had buttons to accommodate them.  I have seen the combination of both so thats certainly doable and great thing is you've got a belt for the gear you want to  put onto it.   :tu:

Day 05
Today I used my EDC fixie, the Wissahickon Critter to remove the safety seal from a pill bottle.  The Critter sits in an excellent sheath which was handmade by Nix (who graciously gifted me this knife) and is perfectly comfortable suspended from my belt into my back right pocket.  Suspending it into the pocket keeps it from snagging on anything or otherwise getting in my way.  I have removed the flashlight from my belt as of last night as it was poking me in my side fat which was annoying.  Still carrying it, but I have resumed pocket carry for the flashlight.  I am also still carrying the phone, pens and a 111 Vic in my Duluth Warehouseman's Pouch which has been comfortable, and my Spirit in the SOG pouch. I'm wearing everything behind the hips so I'm narrow enough to get through doors and not get hung up getting out of slatted chairs.

Nice.  I always like my gear at 1/2, 5/7, 11/12 which keeps it nicely away from bumping things.  I like to keep my Izula at 2 with handle pointing inward allowing me to retrieve with left hand.
