Supertool with No Awl? (Pics)

Won a super tool in an ebay auction today. It wasn’t until later on that I realized the awl was missing from the photos. Was there an earlier version of this tool that didn’t include the awl or is there a larger issue here? I messaged the seller and he said he does not believe it had an awl.

Very interesting.

The price was pretty reasonable so I’m not too worried about it. Hoping to get educated on this subject.

Congratulations on your new tool, Zach!
It looks like maybe it got broken; can you see if there is still a stub in the chassis (should be in the PE blade/file side), or maybe had been replaced by a washer/spacer? Here's a picture of the OG tool from the Leatherman retired products page:

Yes, it should be between the plain edge knife and the medium flat screwdriver.

I’ll have to wait later next week when it arrives to take a closer look. The seller claims it is brand new. Hopefully it was just stuck shut or something. Time will tell.

It arrived today. While a bit rounded off at the tip, the awl is in fact on this tool
