I would guess someone added tweezers at the removeable lanyard side. And a pin on the other.

The scales itself are intriguing alteady :like:

Edit: I managed to zoom in to the single pic (I'm not an Instagram user). Looks like a quite substancial piece added there :think:

I reckon it's just an extending lanyard clip that hooks under the lock release. The U shape is there to fit round the pin when it is retracted, and the slight protuberance clips under the lock release  :tu:

Nope. It's a scribe. You can see/hear it plainly in the video. It's made of a very hard type of steel for that purpose.

The problem is the grip I think... you are probably better off, taking one from the Signal or making your own from a flat-screwdriver

I wish I could have designed one of these.
I would have used the charge frame and added a t shank file/saw (with storage in the scales for blades) similar to the surge
The scissors from the surge/wingman
inside, swap the scissors for the awl from the rebar and the flat blade screwdriver for the pry tool from the 300M
remove the lanyard ring and add the carbide scratcher, the tweezers, maybe the pen, no need i can think of for the pin but whatever.

now that would be a supercharge
