Because we still have farmers, for whom that whole Daylught Savings Time thing was invented. Give them more hours of daylight when it matters.

Just because something is old doesnt mean there isnt still a good reason for it
But it doesn’t actually give any more hours of daylight.  The number of hours between sunrise and sunset doesn’t change regardless of what the clocks say.

There have been a few thread revivals lately. Because this thread is funny as hell, and there is something I want to vent about, I'm reviving it.

While looking for a new beater radio set, I noticed a few were untested. In the case of the Regency TR-1 (and other sets that use obsolete batteries), I can understand not testing them. But if it uses AA batteries...surely most people will have some device that can go without its batteries while you test what you want to sell for five minutes. Failing that, go to Dollar Tree and pick up some batteries. You'll need them sooner or later, and a 9-volt can be sent along with the set you're selling.

If the batteries are commonly available, you have no excuse for not testing out your smurf before you sell it! :twak:

Why is the usb always upside-down the first time you try, but then you flip it, and it's still upside-down?
