Now that's a good looking mod. You said that you removed the fish scaler, but it looks like the scissors took the hit also.
So despite this new knife's excellence I'd never gotten round to carrying it on me, it had been living in my shoulder bag. This is mainly because it didn't fit into my belt pouch due to the extra thickness. I finally got round to ordering some new leather and making a new pouch. Horizontal pouch, massively over built but then when you see the old pouch (last pic) which has been on my belt almost every single day for 5 years (holy leather patina batman!), you can see why I like to build them strong! That's the idea behind the double snaps (my trademark) and the full length belt loop also. It has to withstand many years of being caught, pulled, bashed, etc. I built it a bit more simply than the previous one which had high end Horween leather, a fancier X stitch and had a smooth leather interior for an easier slide in and out but this one was mainly to try out the dimensions and try and remember how I did it 5 years ago! I'm still happy with it and not in a rush to make a posher version of it unless I'm very bored one day. Well it's now on my belt and I've used the pliers twice already this morning! The SAK pliers are not great to be honest, the spring in particular is too anemic and the handles too thin to provide a comfortable grip - but to replace my crippled finger functionality they are very useful.(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)
Nice! You should post about it here:https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/board,64.0.html
