Great first week everyone!  I have hard water here so I have to soak my shower head a couple of times a year.  I fill my coffee pot with white vinegar and soak the shower head overnight in the coffee pot.  In the morning the showerhead and the coffee pot are both renewed. Calcium deposits dissolved.

Day 7/30. More belt cutter letter opening so you don't need a pic of that. Instead here's one of my Woolly Pully's in plum. A really good design with those elbow and shoulder patches.
That is awesome.  Love the color.

I have a couple wool blend hoodies that I absolutely love.

Day 7

Measured the thickness of some trim/casing I need to install around a door. Love having the ruler handy.  Also received notification my new BS versions of the SwissTool and SwissTool Spirit will be delivered on Monday - fingers crossed! I will be using the SwissTool variant in this challenge as well - very excited!  :woohoo: :multi:
I think more tools should somehow incorporate a small ruler

Day 7, Helped extract micro SD from sound oasis.
Nice use.

Spirit helped by cutting some tags off a couple new shirts.  The pliers helped refill the poop bags in Fishers leash bag.

My problem wasn't with limescale. It's some kind of slime that stays in jelly form but it's dense enough to clog the holes  :dunno:

Nice use.

I think you're spot on Sos24. It would surely be fairly easy to design in a measuring ruler either into the scales or steel of another tool, maybe the back edge of a file or even saw? We're not talking millimetre accuracy here but it would be pretty handy to measure something on the fly.  :hatsoff:

Day 8/31

G'Day,

Coffee test early this morning. The boy-child and I each took one of the bags and made a coffee and a small other tasting cup. The Ethiopian was sensational, light, floral and lots of flavour. A very good black coffee as all Single Origin coffees are. The blend was also good, but being a blend nothing was standing out. We drank it black, but I think it will be good with some milk. Spirit scissors got a good workout. It cut the thinner cardboard much easier than the stuff I tried the other day. I do like the scissors!!! Lunch duties with an apple and a banana, no pics of that, we had a full meal-room, and I was not going to take pics of me cutting fruit, I will never hear the end of it!!!  :D

Full day at work tomorrow, we will see what it dishes out.

Cheers, Pete

Day 8

Opened a pack of fresh Carpathian herbal tee. Is a mix of a mountain thyme herb, black currant leaf, white acacia flower, Carpathian heather grass, wild strawberry leaf, wild raspberry leaf, mountain juniper fruit, chokeberry fruit. Honestly the tastiest herbal tea I’ve ever had

I'm somewhat familiar with the locking blade rule in the UK, but how difficult is it concerning a multi tool like the various Swisstools?  Can you carry them in public?

Officially it's the same. It's the fact that the blade locks on most MT's, and on some the blade length is also the issue. You might get a reasonable copper and if you could demonstrate that you genuinely forgot and were actually carrying out some DIY type task and had just nipped to the hardware store it might be just be a finger wagging.

That said, it is what is known here as a "strict liability" offence (like speeding) Either the blade locks or it doesn't and either you were speeding or you were not. You may have mitigating circumstances but the onus would be on you to prove those to the satisfaction of the Police Officer (or potentially a court)

You might get away with a warning if you pass the attitude test but it's all dependent upon the circumstances etc. Of course, outside of the above, if you can demonstrate "reasonable excuse" that's a whole different ball game.

Basically, you run a real chance of arrest if caught with one and you could end up losing the thing, particularly if found guilty at court  ::)

The edc for the day. The knife is a 2 blade on a single spring, made by one of the Bulgarian factories in the 80. Stainless steel, comparable to the one Victorinox makes in regard to edge retention.

A coffee taste test is always nice.   Looks like you created a nice little dripper.

If you like drip coffee, have you tried the Primula Brew Buddy?  It is a reusable dripper that is pretty compact and convenient for away from home.

I’m really liking the MX.  The oho isn’t as smooth as I’d like left handed, but with a little practice is pretty easy.  All the other tools are the same ones that I’ve come to love on the Spirit.  I also like the pocket clip more than I thought I would.

That is strict and I can see why you don’t want to carry a multitool back and forth from work.
