Day 10 -
Storms after dinner here, beach a clean slate, some clouds east.
The Case Scout caught the sunrise yet, could not get the AWL to make an appearance, broke thumb nail even shorter😕

Day 9
Today was a Stockman
(Image removed from quote.)

Nice one Sherry !   :like:

Day 9

The 301 trimmed up this evening cigar…

Day 09
I used the Kershaw Culpepper to open a package of spicy chorizos. Then, after cleaning the blade, I was wiping it down with paper towel and made a careless mistake.  Sliced right through the paper towel and into my thumb, which I didn't notice until I saw blood.  Dang it, this thing is sharp. :ahhh

  You get the award for first cut of the challenge    :D

Day 10

Inexpensive little pen-knife from Sheffield.  Super slim and easy to carry.  Not the finest example of the cutler's work I must say, but it takes and edge and has a pleasantly weighted pull.

Always like seeing that one G !  :like:

You are not alone Alan, did almost same rookie mistake wiping smudge off my CV Stockman, sliced cleaning through the towel and my left index finger, never felt it, saw the blood awl over the Yellow scales, then the table, then the floor… A clean slice, at least the main blade is sharp.   [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

+1

Just had the same happened to me but luckily it was just the skin surface. Was cleaning the blade of the Pioneer X with a paper towel and just got the thumb too clse to the knife's edge.

 :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

I think the problem is the paper towels, not the knives...

As usual, some fantastic knives and photos from everyone!

Day 10

Something a little different for today. This one started life as a Camillus 27. Its screwdriver broke at some point. The gentleman who sent it to me removed that layer and fitted it with bone covers. It has a very strong pull (at least an 8.5/10) and closing snap that'll dang near break your finger. I'll be cutting an easy open notch into it one day.
